Everything was perfect! - We loved our 2 day / 1 night tour (weekdays, private tour) in Torotoro Park! What was really good was that everything was understood: activities, all meals and the hotel. We had nothing to worry about. The activities were incredible: the Vergel Canyon, the Ciudad de Itas and the Caverna Umajalanta. The meals were excellent and typical of the region and Bolivia. The hotel, in the middle of nature, was comfortable and had an incredible view. And above all, we had great guides: a big thank you to Grober and Cassi! Grober took us and brought us back to our accommodation, he was always very caring with us and was an excellent driver. His van is very comfortable. As for Cassi, she was our guide in all activities and she was very patient and kind. I really recommend this agency, very professional and friendly!

Action Adrenaline And Dinosaurs! - Toro Toro is a bit of a diversion from your typical standard tourist route through Bolivia but it's totally worth it in every way. This is a full on action adventure tour and you need to have a good level of fitness to consider it, but everything you do is so rewarding. Our host and driver Grober really took care of us throughout the whole trip. Communication was excellent all the way through and he was very accommodating with tailoring every part of our trip to ensure we got the maximum value out of it. Toro Toro national park is a controlled space. If you plan on doing it without a tour you need to get there which is a 3 hour journey from Cochabamba. Arrange your own accomodation, pay for the national park ticket, tour guide and transport. This is for your safety. It is extremely easy to get lost or put yourself in danger so nobody is allowed anywhere without a guide and authorised transportation. Booking this tour meant everything was arranged for us and went very smoothly. Day 1 Pickup was at 07:30 from our accomodation in Cochabamba. We had a lovely minibus where the seats would fully recline into a bed with pillows so we could have a nap. An hour in we stopped briefly at the town of Tarata for a quick breakfast Empanadas. We then continued to Toro Toro. We checked into Brisas Hotel which was a really nice place, modern decor, hot showers and super comfortable beds. We had about 1.5 hours to freshen up and lunch was provided at the hotel.  First Tour - Toro Toro Canyon & El Vergel Waterfalls After lunch we met our tour guide Diego who was amazing. He speaks English and Spanish and was great at providing information, answering questions and very experienced with safe routes and was able to assist strength wise on parts of the tour we needed assistance in climbing. You hike down 400m from the top of the canyon to the bottom via about 1200 steps which have been well constructed by the locals. Fairly straightforward nothing too crazy. You then do some bouldering climbing over and through big and small rocks to cross the river twice which was slightly more challenging. When you arrive at the waterfalls you have the opportunity to swim for a bit. Water was very cold. You then proceed to climb out of the canyon the same way which was a bit more challenging due to you ascending. When you get to the top of the canyon you hike to a man made bridge viewpoint overlooking the canyon. You then hike through an old river and get to see some dinosaur footprints. Diego had pictures of the dinosaurs that made those footprints which was cool. You drive back towards town and stop and some more dinosaur footprints. 4 types of dinosaurs Theropods, Sauropods, Ankilosaurous and Ornithopod. The whole trail was done in a really good order with the hardest part being first. As soon as you arrive back at the hotel dinner is ready for you and you can spend the evening doing what you please. Have a wonder around the small town to see all the cool dinosaur statues and get souveniers. There are no toilets on this trail so use the toilet before you leave the hotel. Altitude is not really a problem on Day 1. What to bring with you Day 1 - Day Bag - 1.5L Water - Hiking Shoes - Ankle Supports - Suncream - Hat - Sunglasses - Swimming Costume - Towel - Coca Leaves for energy Day 2 Second Tour - Cuervas De La Ciudad De Itas You start by having breakfast at the hotel which is included. Leaving time is flexible we left at 08.30. Note you have to check out so pack your bags and bring a spare carrier bag for items you don't want to carry in your day bag during the day. Grober keeps all belongings safe in the minibus. You meet your guide Diego again with a 4x4 driver that takes you up a rough dirt road to 3700m for 1.5 hours to Ciudad De Itas. Bring motion sickness tablets if required and Coca Leaves are helpful as you do feel the altitude at this height. It's also a bit chilly so a hoody or raincoat is advised. You then begin the hike through the area. This hike is slightly more challenging than day 1 as you are hiking through uneven rocks most of the time but still very doable by your average person. This is a lovely area and you see natural rock formations shaped like lizards, turtles and elephants. You also visit various small caverns that have unique gothic style shapes. Plenty of great photo opportunities. You then descend in altitude back down to around 2600m and stop for lunch which is included. This is your toilet break as well. Third Tour - Caverna Umajalanta This is the most extreme part of the trip. You go explore a large cave. Helmet and Torch are included but I would highly advise you hire the overalls, kneepads and elbowpads. They cost 10 BOB per item so 30 BOB total for the whole outfit. You will get dirty and a bit wet. Your bags are placed in lockers. Leave everything in your bag only take your phone if you want to take pictures. You will be descending down ropes, climbing up rocks, crouching through tight spaces and for about 3 metres crawling on your stomach. The experience inside is about 1 hour. It is challenging as rocks are slippery and you need a bit of courage to do it but it's an amazing experience if you do complete it. You also see various stalectite and stalecmites and graffiti from old explorers along the way. Fourth Tour - Carreras Pampa This was not included in the booked tour but we paid extra to visit as we had a bit of extra time left. It's effectively a dried lake with at least 100 dinosaur footprint trails of babies to adults who were walking, running and swimming. There's even some tail prints. It's 95% one type of dinosaur footprint Theropods but still a very cool place to visit. After this we returned to the minibus and left Toro Toro at about 8pm grabbing some chips before leaving and got back to Cochabamba by 11pm What to bring with you Day 2 - Day Bag - 1.5L Water - Hiking Shoes - Ankle Supports - Suncream - Hat - Sunglasses - Hoody/Raincoat - Coca Leaves for energy - Mosquito Repellent for Caverna Umajalanta Extra General Information and Tips - Speak to Vision Tours about customising this tour in terms of days and what you want to see. You could easily spend 3 full days there. - Toro Toro has 4 different circuits of tours you can do. There's another trail and Turtle Fossils we didn't have time to see in 2 days. - If you're not aware most places in Bolivia accept cash so bring enough with you in various size bills as you may wish to add more stops or for tips etc. - Theres a 24 hour hotel next to Brisas that has a fridge and sells cold drinks, water, energy drinks and beers - If you book this tour far in advance the price may change on the day as fuel prices have increased recently.  - The price per person will also be much lower if you can bring additional people with you on the tour. Everything works out cheaper for all as you split the costs of the transport, guides etc Overall Toro Toro is really worth visiting and Vision Tours made the whole process so easy and smooth for us would highly recommend!

Beautiful experience in Toro Toro - I travelled with a friend to Toro Toro with Vision Tours and the experience was excellent. Everything was very well organized from the start: they sent us the itinerary in advance and helped us with all the details of the trip. The tour was complete, safe and super interesting. The attention of the agency was impeccable and they were always watching us. I definitely recommend Vision Tours to get to know Toro Toro from Cochabamba.

Beautiful bull!!! - Toro Toro is a magnificent place that is worth visiting many times. Visión Tours is a great travel agency that cares from the beginning that you can enjoy the trip. I felt quite safe going alone, Marcela in charge of our group was always making sure that we were all well during the trip and her company is very pleasant and encouraging to go through the exhausting routes, also with the impetus to collaborate at all times I am very grateful to her, especially because this tour is quite physically demanding, and to the company for having organized it very well and everything on time, which makes the experience even more pleasant.

I recommend 100% - We took the private tour to Toro Toro with my husband, the team was super punctual, excellent service and everyone was very concerned about making our travel experience the best possible. They worry about all the details. We went to the Huaka Senqa Viewpoint, the El Vergel waterfall, Ciudad de Itas and saw the dinosaur footprints. Follow the recommendations to the letter, trekking shoes, long-sleeved shirts and at least 1 liter of water. Excursions to each place take at least half a day/half afternoon. The views of the places are incredible!!!

Very disappointed with this weekend in Torotoro - Very disappointing experience in Torotoro with this agency! Everything started well, but the organization was a disaster. Not respected, no clear explanation of activities, neither at the agency nor during the stay. We were moving blindly. The only real plus: Hostal Claure, clean, new, excellent welcome, yet the cheapest. Guide Marcela was kind and spontaneous, but it doesn't compensate for the lack of organization. During a hike to the canyon to go to the waterfall, after descending 1000 steps, we discover that we have to cross a river three times – without warning. We get to the bottom of a thousand steps, there is a very difficult descent, without assistance, and our guide Ruth was filming people instead of helping them, then left ... Further on, we could see the first to slide into the water, to cross the river, without any help. Many of us saw all this and turned around, frustrated. The second day was a disaster. It rained all night. The bus got stuck in the mud, okay it can happen, it's nobody's fault. Despite everyone's efforts to get him out of there trying to push him, nothing to do. Then comes the main problem: NO SERIOUS PLAN B. Like it was the first time it rained in Torotoro ... The options offered were absurd: walk for miles without interest in an "emergency" circuit that no one wanted, or walk to the caves (1 hour announced, but much more in reality). Ciudad de Itas? Inaccessible! Except for a dozen people who were lucky enough to take a minibus at their expense. But then why didn't you offer it to the rest of the band?? Quite simply. It was frustrating to want to go upstairs and not have room when it was Itas the main attraction. The rest of the group dispersed, some were walking alone, others were waiting for nowhere to go, everyone was lost, with no information. People were disappointed, left to fend for themselves, some having paid for transportation. We ended up in a jeep to go to the caves, "for want of better." (More caves we didn’t do because nothing was explained to us) And even there, the testimonies of what were, were worrying: guide who waits for no one in the dangerous crossings, constant pressure to hurry ... Finally, I was almost relieved that I didn’t go. What about the icing on the cake? 10 compensating BOB at the end. A joke. Even our jeep driver – who has his own pro agency and knows this kind of situation well – told us that the minimum was 25% reimbursement by the agency, and that customers should never pay for replacement transportation themselves!!! He was almost as angry as we were. In short, a weekend wasted, money thrown out the window, and frustration shared by more than half of the group. I do not understand the rating of 4.9 of this agency!!! I put 1 star, because you can’t put less.
