A wonderful day! - We visited the sanctuary yesterday whilst staying in Cochrane with my daughter who has recently moved to Canada. We were overwhelmed with how special it was and how the wolfdogs are cared for so well. It was so evident to see the complete dedication and love these animals are shown by their carers. We were given an intro talk by a lovely girl at 12.15 introducing us to Aspen and Griz- she was passionate, helpful and obviously totally in love with the wolfdogs which was so endearing. She was super knowledgable and a wonderful advocate for the sanctuary.! We also met Erin who introduced us to the Pharoh pack. We were gobsmacked to hear after speaking to her that she had only been working at the centre for 3 weeks! Her energy was infectious and she exhibited such warmth, respect and consideration for the dogs as well as being interesting and captivating as she engaged with us and the pack. What a wonderful experience for us to see this fantastic centre in action. Knowing that Costco supply their foods has made me renew my membership for their UK store where I live. Congratulations to the team who recruit such lovely people to work at this amazing place and thank you for a wonderful day.

Wolfdogs - Wolf dogs really well cared for..they would likely be dead if not there. Bah humbug to exotic pet trade. They staff are super caring and animals thrive. Lots of howling which was eerie and beautiful. Would recommend.

Amazing Tour - We took the Interactive Tour on 20 Sep 2024 Did not count but I guess we were with +/- 8-10 people in our group. 2 staff members came with us. One of them told us the rules and how best to behave. Once that was done the great advanture began. Meeting the wolfdogs. We met with 2 packs: Cascade and Yamnuska. We all got to sit down, got information about the pack and the wolfdogs in general and the best we all got some treats that we could give the wolfdogs. Some of them you could pet (please folow the instructions given by the staff) All the funds that they receive via these tours go right back into the sancturary. It was so amazing!!!

Fantastic stop between Banff/Canmore and Calgary - Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the sanctuary. We took the self guided option with the add on if the intro tour (completed at the end of our stay). The sanctuary is a calm, tranquil stop to learn all about wolf-dogs. There are information sessions too throughout the day which are included in the price. We learnt a lot. As the sanctuary is enroute between Calgary and Banff/Canmore, it is a perfect stopping point as part of any trip without having to divert too far. Allow two hours approx for your visit. There is no cafe on site but drinks and small snacks are available.

Great experience, beautiful sanctuary - We were super excited for this experience to meet and greet the wolf dogs. It was nice to see so many up close and personal. The guide was extremely informative and bubbly. It was great to see all the wolf dogs are given large spaces to live and roam in. Unfortunately our only let down is the website is slightly misleading that you can actually walk around and interact with the wolf dogs. In reality you are to remain seated in chairs for the duration and cannot freely interact, which makes it hard to get the photos and the experience that is portrayed on the website. We understand this may be for safety purposes however, overall it was still an amazing experience.
