Experience an all-inclusive 14-mile whitewater rafting adventure with Red Canyon. This exciting tour lasts approximately 3-4 hours, starting at 9 am from our shop at 1119 12th Street (next to the Irma Hotel) and returning around 12 pm, depending on water flow. This adventure is not only thrilling but also educational, offering breathtaking views of the red canyon. On the Red Canyon River Trips Half Day trip, participants will get Wet-N-Wild, navigating rapid after rapid along the stunning Shoshone River. Enjoy the Lower Section of the Shoshone River, featuring many spectacular canyons visible only from the river, such as “Owls Canyon,” and marvel at the incredible rock formations created by a fault line. Experience the thrill of rapids like “Cultor’s Falls” and “Little Big Drop.” We look forward to seeing you soon!

Very enjoyable rafting experience - We had a lovely time with Burns as our skipper/guide.
Our boat was just for our family of 4 (including teens). The 9am trip includes an early lunch stop and finishes around 1pm.
We felt safe throughout and learnt a lot about the area.
A highlight was getting wet in the rapids and eventually jumping in into Shoshone river aka ‘stinking river’ (which heavily smells of sulphur).
My only comment is that expectations should be managed for those used to wilder white water rafting. This was much more on the tame side of things! The other boat that started alongside us had a 5y old and some grandparents so this is rafting for everyone - don’t expect huge jumps.
Lunch of sandwiches and crisps hit the spot.
Our guide Burns and the other staff members were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Photos are being taken on departure and at a few stops along the way which makes a great additional souvenir at the end (for $20).

A Beautiful and Exhilarating Trip - We had such a great time on our River Trip. It was a relaxing trip in a beautiful setting! The water was low since it was later in the summer. There were a few small rapids; just enough to get you good and wet. Tristan was our guide. He was capable, helpful and very friendly! (He’s also a rodeo champion!) We would definitely do this trip again if we were ever in Cody again.

Family experience the best in the west! - Olivia and Tristan did an amazing job keeping us safe and filling our day with fun. The meal was great and the company was the best! Definitely must do for families.

So fun, great day, worth it! - This was so fun, the scenery is absolutely beautiful while kayaking in "duckies" for the "half day" on the Sheshone. Our 14 and 15 year old daughters LOVED it, exactly what we hoped for. It's not so easy to talk while on the river but our guide to the river, Tommy, was very informative during the drive to our drop off. We really enjoyed talking to him. Tristan was our guide down the river he was a lot of fun too. We also enjoyed our driver back (sorry can't remember name) he was fun and easy to talk to. We were given an impressive sandwich lunch complete with strawberries, and brownies. The time given was accurate, though we gladly would've spent more time on the river with these guys. We were back at the shop in Cody by 1:10. Thanks guys for a great time!!!
Note: If booking online call to confirm! There was a snafu and Groupon had us booked on a day that was full but I had called Cody Wyoming Adventures after booking (just because Groupon can be sketchy) and we were able to book for the day after originally planned. Also, payment was an issue because Groupon unexpectedly cancelled our reservation and we don't carry that much cash, but thankfully Tommy was quick to think outside the box and figure out a way.

Excellent guides, lunch, and local company to support - This company was amazing to work with. Mike, the owner, was so friendly. Our tour guide, Tommy, was really informative and a lot of fun on our rafting trip. We’ll absolutely come back when we’re in the area next. Also, our lunch was delicious!

Great for family fun - Terrific experience. The whole staff was friendly, the owner drove the bus to the launch and gave a humorous and educational background of the area. The lunch was the best.

Rafting with kids - My boys (7 & 8) and I had a wonderful time rafting! The guides, Chris and Casey were amazing :-) they made sure we stayed safe and shoes us a good time! Even had a splash fight with the other raft!!

All the fun in the world! - We did a Yellowstone tour of the lower loop and a half day rafting trip. We had such a good time with Casey in Yellowstone, we requested him again for rafting and we were not disappointed! We had such a good time with him. He was interactive, funny, knowledgeable, and a complete joy to spend part of our vacation with. My 3 year old and 14 year old both took to Casey as well, making it a lot easier and more comfortable for all of us. The lunch was amazing....those brownies...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
I’d highly recommend the company and Casey!!!! If we ever venture back that way, we will definitely be rafting again!!!

A scenic ride - We enjoyed the trip. It was fun and scenic. However, there was no social distancing. We rode in a van with 6 other people and 2 guides and there was another family on the raft with us.

Sad experience - One of us got fever day before, for others safety we cancelled, NO refund or options given, so sad!!
