Great day trip to Venice of Portugal - Tiago was both an excellent driver and a multilingual guide__English, French and Spanish! Provided lots of interesting information on Portugal, Porto and Aviero. Suggested great seafood restaurants and yummy gelato too. Managed to accommodate a group ranging in age from 10 to 80 plus. Quite a feat!! Highly recommend!

Seeing several sights in 1 day - I had such a nice time visiting Costa Nova to see the striped houses and then to Averio, the “Venice” of Portugal where my group took a canal boat ride. Then, onto historic Coimbra which was Portugal’s capital (from 1139 to 1256), it is one of the country’s most historic cities, famous for its university, which is one of Europe’s oldest (it was founded in 1290)! My tour guide, Carla was so helpful translating between Portuguese and English effortlessly the whole day. Also, I goofed with the start time, and she made sure I was able to join up with the group and not miss my tour due to my own error. Even though it was a very hot day, I enjoyed all of the sights of these interesting areas of Portugal, and was glad that I did it with this tour group instead of trying to navigate all of the stops on my own. What a relief to rejoin my air conditioned minivan after each stop. Top marks!!

Coimbra university and science museum well worth a visit - You’ll have about 2 hours to explore the university on your own There is no guided walking tour of the historic center of the city It’s a small group tour (up to… people)

Pleasant excursion and friendly atmosphere - Although less rich than the Douro, this tour allows you to discover other aspects of Portugal from Porto. We were only two couples and our guide, on June 18, duplicated his information in French and English. The meal at Casa de Sarmento was unexpected and appreciated. We learned a lot with this very kind guide. Despite the pleasure of the moliceiro ride, a little more was expected from Aveiro's visit and the discovery of its lagoon.
