An amazing tour to Sintra from Ericeira. - I was looking for a tour with a pick up from Ericeira and found it difficult to find any tour providers who could collect from there rather than Lisbon. So I was delighted to come across Portugal Unknown Tours and myself and my two teenage kids had the most wonderful time! So much so, that my son, who is usually not so keen on full day outings, said it was by far the best excursion he’s been on. It had a lot to do with Bruno, the tour guide, who was very knowledgeable and could tell us a lot about the places we visited. Bruno was also a very courteous driver and his friendly manner made us very relaxed and welcome. The price was also very affordable and definitely very good value for money. If you’re looking for a hassle free way to explore new places of interest I would highly recommend Portugal Unknown Tours, you will love it!

Great tour - We toured two monuments and then worked our way to Cascais stopping at several coastal view points. Our guide Joao was a knowledgeable young man and a very safe driver. A++

“G” is the Man - Goncalo picked us up right on time and was the most amazing tour guide. He is a native of Cintra and knows the area well. G speaks perfect English and has a great sense of humor. Cannot recommend him highly enough

Day in Sintra - We could not imagine seeing Sintra any other way for the day. Paolo was our guide. He was wonderful. Soft spoken, professional and very knowledgeable about all historical aspects. We went to Pena Palace and Monserrat on the company’s advice and it was perfect. Could not have seen more in a day- and you really need someone to drive you to these places because they are not near each other and up steep hills. He also took us to a great local restaurant for lunch and capped off the day with an amazing view by the sea. Well worth the tour and their communication is great.

Stellar Tour Experience - Portugal. - Unknown Tours Portugal.
Our private tour guide was Bruno. His personality, knowledge and professionalism made our trip to Portugal special and one to remember!
Bruno picked us up on schedule at our hotel and guided us through 2 incredible Palaces in SINTRA & then on to ERICIERA. We stopped at one of his favorite restaurants for lunch.
The next day he drove us through Lisbon and down to our hotel on the beach in the Algarve stopping on the way at a number of amazing less known spots along the coast.

Sintra and Caiscais - Bruno was our guide for a half day in Sintra and half day in Caiscais. He was very knowledgeable and a great driver in the narrow streets. He provided just enough historical information given we had 11 year olds with us. We also received great restaurant recommendations. We can’t wait to come back.

A phenomenal personalised experience - Our guide, João, was beyond fantastic. He had an excellent command of the history and despite my extensive pre-reading of the tour spots, I still learned plenty of new things thanks to him. The plan was also flexible and we rerouted based on our preferences in the moment. Also doesn’t hurt to have that great rock n roll in the car during the comfortable drive! Would highly recommend for anyone contemplating this trip.

Outstanding Sintra/Cascais Tour with Vikthor - Our trip with Vikthor to Sintra, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible to match the tour to our interests and accessibility needs. The Moorish Castle and visit to the town of Sintra for lunch were additional highlights. We appreciated Vikthor’s stories of historical and contemporary Portugal, and his recommendations for restaurants, bakeries, and future sightseeing in Lisbon. The comfortable van with powerful air conditioning contributed to a lovely day trip. We will definitely request Vikthor again the next time we visit Portugal!

Great day with Bruno! - Bruno was a fantastic guide for our day trip to Sintra! He was prompt and fun and full of great information. We saw and learned a lot during our drive and visits! We chose to see Quinta da Regaleira and the Moorish Castle, which were great choices for us to avoid the long lines at Pena Palace. The company was really helpful in making our decisions and planning. (Bruno even helped us avoid a long line at Regaleira and gave us some tips for inside.) A local lunch at Bruno’s suggestion was fantastic. Thank you, Portugal Unknown and Bruno, for a wonderful day!

Unforgettable excursion with José - Perfectly organized day between Sintra, Pena Palace, Monserrate Gardens, Cabo da Roca and Cascais. Beautiful landscapes and enriching visits. Our guide José captivated us with his advanced knowledge of the history of Portugal and the places visited. A real enthusiast! Thank you to José for this superb discovery. I recommend our guide if you want to know the history and culture of Portugal.
