An outstanding experience! - Wow! An epic experience. My family (including my 4 year old daughter) were in St Maarten for only 8 hours but we wanted to see as much as we could without following the tourist groups. Doing this private trip is a must! Sam was an absolute pleasure, very hospitable, engaging and supportive in our requests, taking us to unforgettable beaches and snorkelling spots. Thank you Sam!

We went on this tour with... - We went on this tour with another family we were traveling with and everyone in our group put this excursion as their favorite. It was so fun to zip around the island in a speedboat and Sam our tour guide was so kind, relaxed, and fun to talk to. We loved that we weren't with all the crowds of people at our various stops. We saw lots of different fish when we snorkeled and also a few turtles. The kids loved the reserve since they mostly had the beach to themselves and enjoyed building sand castles. As we left our last stop, we had a large pod of dolphins swim close to our boat. It was such a wonderful experience for all of us but especially our children. Highly recommend!!

This made our Vacation even more spectacular! - What an amazing family environment! Our captain was spectacular! I was able to show him pictures of exactly where our teenage girls wanted to have Instagram pictures taken, and he hit all of them. Places you can't get to even if you wanted to buy land. My family still says this is the best vacation they ever had, and I asked him what part they said the Private Speed Boat Charter in St Maarten was. Thank you so much, Crew!

Awesome - The best way to spend a day in sr Maarten. Sam took us thru the Simpson bay lagoon to see the mega yachts, hung out by the starting line of the annual Heineken regatta, went snorkeling, had a great lunch on Pinel island and swam on Long Beach. Great day!

Compassionate and Accomodating 100% - If you are looking for a tour guide who talks nearly the entire time, this is not the trip for you. Skip the rest of the review and select a different option. Instead, Sam is a calm, thoughtful, and intelligent captain. His preference seems to be to let you soak it all in and as questions arise, answer with confidence, poise, and kindness. This is nice because you don't get a lot of mumbo jumbo that doesn't mean anything to you. He's easy to approach and will answer anything you throw at him. He's been doing it for over 15 years. Sam customized our experience to exactly what we wanted. We saw the island from the coast and also down the middle through a calm marina. We saw super yachts, mega yachts, and mansions that made our mouths drop. Sam took us to a legendary snorkel spot where we encountered underwater beauty like we hadn't seen before. We had the potential to see octopus, crabs, and stingrays. However, they were elusive to us this time. However, next he took us to a relaxing beach with a cliff that was the home of some pretty cool creatures. He has a huge mat to lay out on and relax in the water and rolled it out for us to enjoy. Under the boat, a few squid congregated and we thought they were fascinating to watch. We asked him partway through the adventure if we could go by Maho beach and see some planes land. He gladly obliged. He set the boat up perfectly in line with incoming aircraft, lowered the sun top so we could see better, and looked up on his phone when we could expect to see the next jet. 10 minutes later just as he mentioned, a large Delta jet flew directly over our boat. This was one of the most thrilling things we've ever seen. I wish I could say something that could be improved on this excursion, but I've got nothing. It was so perfect for us. Sightseeing cruise, slow idle through a large marina, snorkel, cruise to a relaxing beach with a snorkel opportunity, maho beach, and back to the dock. If I were ever in choppy waters, I'd want Capain Sam navigating. He brings a sense of peace, tranquility, and safety to the vessel that I am having difficulty putting into words. Sam will listen to your preferences and create a memorable experience for your party. One of the easiest 5 star reviews I've ever written. P.S. his boat is awesome and even had a freshwater reservoir shower hose to rinse off the salt water on you and your gear.

A great day with Capt Sam! - We were coming to SXM as part of a Disney cruise and wanted to do something apart from the cruise masses (there were 7 ships in port that day!). A day with Capt Sam was just what the doctor ordered. We (four adults, two young kids) went snorkeling (seeing old wrecks, sting ray, tons of fish), sight-seeing, zipping along quickly (which the kids loved too), and generally enjoying all he had to offer. In addition, we had plenty of drinks and tasty rum punch. If we head back to SXM, we'll definitely head back Powerboat Adventures!

Great day on the water - Awesome day on the water with Captain Sam. We did a private with our 3 college aged boys. He took us to all the great snorkel/beach spots and we had lunch on Pinnel Island. It was amazing. Book this trip- you’ll love it.

Amazing boat day in St Maarten - This was an amazing private tour with our family of 5. (3 college kids) Sam the boat owner/Captain was awesome, knew all the spots to take us to on the island for snorkeling and swimming. We loved stopping at Pinnel Island for lunch and a quick hike up the hill. Loved-loved-loved this entire experience. It was worth the few extra dollars to do a small private with him and have the flexibility to do whatever we wanted. Great trip.

Go for it! - We had a great day with Sam who is much more attentive to his passengers than other boat tours on saint martin (I live here). Very professional! Go ahead with your eyes closed.
