An excellent tour by someone who knows the Everglades like the back of his hand! - We had had an excellent experience with Captain Steve's swamp buggy tour! There were only three people in our tour so it felt almost like a private tour. Captain Steve knows this part of the Everglades like the back of his hand and shares many interesting facts and stories. Our tour was during the dry season, so we did not see a lot of animals, but it was a great trip anyway. We learned so much about the Everglades and experienced five or six different ecosystems on the trip. Note, you have to drive about 7 miles on an unpaved lime road so I wouldn't take a fancy car. We just left lots of extra time and drove slowly. This is not a highly commercial trip, more like your cousin taking you on his buggy. It was great!

Nice day with the family in the Everglades! - I was born and raised in Florida. I learned more about the Everglades in 4 hours from Steve than I could imagine. His family has been in Florida since the 17 century. Totch Brown was his neighbor. Now that's something. He can tell you stories about Totch. Steve is a big, burly guy who loves his family and what he does. Steve gave me a small discount. I gave it right back to him in a tip. I love seeing people love what they do .Enjoy your visit.

Great whole family experience - My husband, two daughters (6 and 2), and I went out with Captain Daniels on a swamp buggy tour this afternoon. It was a delightful experience for us all! My whole family loves nature, we are all from Florida but Captain Daniels still taught us some very interesting things out there! He was great with the kids and everyone had the best time! Very laid back and a wonderful day spent out in the Everglades exploring and learning. We loved it and will definitely be back!!!

An unforgettable experience with Captain Daniels - It was an incredible experience! We were led by Captain Daniels in the Swamp Buggy through the beautiful Everglades for almost 4 hours. In contrast to the mass tourist handling services offered throughout Miami, Captain Daniels has taken a lot of time exploring various areas of the Everglades with us. He literally infected us with his enthusiasm and gave us a wonderful day. Already on the way to the meeting point we were able to discover some alligators, but also the plant life has made the trip an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.

Great day exploring the Everglades!!!! - What an incredible half day spent with Captian Adam in Big Cypress National Preserve. This was a birthday present from my husband and it was one of his best yet. We learned so many interesting things about the history and vegetation of the area. My husband, who also grew up in the area, and Adam had the best stories of running around as kids here. I would recommend this to everyone who wants a taste of the real Florida. Thanks Captian Adam for a extra fancy day!

An great tour of Big Cypress Preserve - My wife and I did the trip this afternoon with Captain Daniel. The trip was a lot of fun. Lots to see and Daniel was great to stop and point out interesting things we would have missed. He grew up in the area and knows much about the area and people. An adventure worth taking.

This is the buggy tour you are looking for! - Capt. Daniel was amazing. Super friendly, informative, full of stories from a lifetime in the area and loving nature. No rush; we were able to stop as often as we wanted and even get out and explore a bit with a hearty dose of "there's nothing out here that wants to go out of its way hurt you" encouragement. Can't wait to come back for our next tour with Capt. Daniel!

Research before your spend! - SUPPORT LOCALS! Some of the tourist attractions in town aren’t locally owned and operated anymore. We almost did the airboat tour today, but ran into Capt Steve, last min and changed our plan to the swamp buggy. Glad we were able to have such a private first hand look at the Everglades. This is a must-see if you’re looking for a taste of what this area use to look like from someone born and raised. Capt Sherald kept the excursion so fun for us! Bring whatever drinks and snacks you want, water is provided in a shared cooler. Tour is approximately 3-4 hours, would recommend a long sleeve you can take on and off.

Tour with potential for improvement - The captain made a lot of effort, but unfortunately we didn't see very many animals. The seats were unacceptable! Totally wet and the springs were pressing on her bottom. Also, the tour was only 3 hours and not 4 hours as advertised. According to the captain, that would be normal. At €500 for 3 people we expected more. Definitely better seating comfort!

NO REFUND for MECHANICAL FAILURE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME - if I could leave a ZERO, I would. The buggy broke down and he stated he would refund our money then he refused!! He asked if we all wanted to crowd with another group on to another buggy that was made for 5 or 6 people plus the 4 with my group, there was NO way for 4 hours we would do that. Then he responded to me by email and was rude ... do NOT take this tour , go to WOOTENs you will not be disappointed!
