Chris and this tour are fantastic!! - 5 stars!! Our guide Chris was SO knowledgeable of Colorne, the pub history, Kolsch beer... a must do tour and a bargain for beer fans...which my wife is not but loved this tour and Chris' knowledge !

Drink and Enjoy - What a great idea! Chris (the guide) was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history and culture of Kolsch/Cologne. Great way to enjoy the city without feeling intimated about participating in hundred of years of tradition!

Friendly, easy, culture - Alisha was a great guide and knew a lot of history of the four places we went. I was glad for the knowledge on the culture of the beer and Köbes (servers) that I would never have known if I’d gone on my own. Super friendly, I’d highly recommend this tour!

Good fun and good beer! - The guides were knowledgable, friendly and funny. The brew houses we visited were welcoming and we enjoyed learning the local beer culture.

Fun time on beer tour! - My wife and I had a fantastic time. Chris has amazing beer knowledge and real life experience. He took us to iconic beer halls in the heart of town. He kept us laughing with his great sense of humor. We highly recommend this tour.

Give it a Go! - Chris was a fantastic tour guide. He was humorous and witty and explained quite a bit of history of the area. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for good information and a knowledgeable guide.

Disappointing….. - We were hoping for a more informative trip! In reality we were taken to 3 bars and bought ourselves a drink in each, with minimal information about the breweries or the Altstadt. We should have visited 4 bars but Newcastle United’s Toon Army blocked our path…. but no alternative was suggested! Our guide was a lovely man ….. but didn’t really impart much more than basic Kölsch-drinking etiquette and a brief explanation of the history of Köbers. Our evening was rescued by the lovely company of our fellow group-members!

Definitely not recommended - The quality of the tour was very disappointing, little information and an insecure employee who didn't tell us much. The owner can't handle criticism well and the communication was incredibly poor.

Completely absurd treatment after a refund request - I joined this tour with my girlfriend and close family members. We stayed together for the entire tour and behaved normally and respectfully throughout. The tour itself was poorly delivered. The guide stated at the beginning that she normally does not run this tour and was only filling in. Most information was read directly from printed pages, with little explanation or engagement. For the price, this was disappointing. After the tour, I chose not to leave a public review. Instead, I contacted the owner privately and politely to express my concerns and request a refund of €80 for four tickets. What followed was completely disproportionate and alarming. Rather than addressing the quality of the service, the owner replied by accusing me of serious misconduct during the tour, including harassment and physical contact toward the guide. These accusations were made only after a refund was requested and are categorically denied. His response then escalated into a highly personal and inappropriate message, including statements such as “Don’t you have a mother?” and comparisons implying moral and familial failure. When I asked for evidence or a retraction of these claims, he refused and ended the exchange by stating that the “case is closed.” The fact that such extreme accusations were introduced in response to a routine refund request, and then abruptly dismissed without any substantiation, speaks for itself. This was not a professional handling of a customer complaint, but an aggressive and inappropriate escalation that I find deeply concerning. Future customers should be aware not only of the quality of the tour, but also of how criticism and private feedback may be handled. I will add screen shots of the following email exchanges.
