Unforgettable Volcano Experience - We had a spectacular time. I booked the experience the day before, and was contacted by the company within the hour with the information about the meet-up time and location. Jennifer was a great guide from start to finish. Very diligent and attentive to everything we needed. The experience itself was unforgettable. I would recommend going in the AM tour, before it gets too crowded. We were lucky enough to be the first to arrive and had the experience practically to ourselves. Once we left, there were easily more than 50 people in line waiting. This tour is not meant for everyone. You need to climb up and down a set of steep stairs that get very slippery due to the mud, which may not be suited for kids or older adults.

Everything great - We initially had trouble finding our bus/guide. We then called our guide, and after that, everything went smoothly. Along the way, we received all the important information we needed for the trip. My children and I would do the tour again anytime and can highly recommend our guide, Aisa, and our bus driver, Diego!

Very well organized tour to El Totumo - The tour was very well organized, and the guide Franklin, the driver JesĂşs and Diego with the resevation were all very professional and did a great job. After reading some of the reviews, I thought that the tour might be a little awkward, which was not the case at all. The people there who helped with washing, taking photos etc were helpful and we were just told that we could give a little tip at the end. Excpect a lot a of people there though, as the place is very touristy.

Well organized trip & great guide - Good activity option if you don’t mind getting “dirty” and doing something popular for the area, mud bath. We had the best guide, Mike! I booked the morning excursion which was good because it was not crowded. Spent a good amount of time in the volcano and didn’t feel rushed. Mike organized the activity well, he identified the guys who would take pics and confirmed who wanted a massage (more like a gentle rub) so we didn’t have to navigate that. He also arranged so that any tips we wanted to give would be collected at the end by one person at our bus. This helped a great deal because you don’t feel compelled to tip each person differently and don’t feel the hassle of managing your cash while trying to enjoy the experience. After getting cleaned off and rinsed at the river we sat for a nice snack and a coke with some nice conversation. Also saw another smaller 30+ year old volcano.

Muddy Day - It was a peaceful experience, Cesar our tour guide was very professional and provided me a memorable time. He helped me to understand about the history as it relates to the volcano.

A decent time--no complaints - The only con for me was how long we had to wait to pick up people from other hotels. If you're stuck with people who don't respect time, you will be waiting for a bit longer than expected. It also takes like 40 minutes to get to the destination, so heads up. BUT other than that, it was a nice excursion. It felt nice, was pretty straightforward, and other than one guy (who worked at the volcano site) being a bit impatient with the fact that we all were enjoying ourselves, every single other person was great. Nicher was the best host/guide, so funny, and so kind. The food was also a nice snack. But please understand it is just that: a small snack. Loved the cute animals that were around, as well.

7, it was different.... - 7, it was different. Enjoyed the company of the people on the excursion. The entire time, it was stated that if we were even 5 min late for pick up we would be charged the whole amount and considered a no show. However, we were picked up around 2.30pm, with no type of compensation for tardiness. Wasn't quite expecting the changing area or bathroom to be what it was. You end up with mudd everywhere imaginable. Likewise, instead of being dropped off at the front of hotel, we were dropped off across a busy freeway; hoping to get across safely. However, Nature and the driver were very pleasant. I would recommend this experience, but it is a very hands on activity.

Disappointed but decent - The activity itself was good but the overall all experience was disappointing. It was rushed. You get in the mud, massage for 30 s, chill for 2-5 minutes, go down wet and slippery to the water, get your snack and then you’re done. The whole thing was like 10-15 minutes. It would’ve been nice if the timing and organization was better. It wasn’t the companies fault but it’s the excursion it seld

Avoid this Tour Operator - The Tour Operator is very bad. They say that if we are late by 5 minutes we will be. Insiders a No Show. But they came 35 minutes late. The vehicle they sent was very old with non existent air conditioning. All 10 of us continued to roast. Very Poor Overall rating for the Tour Operator
