Your 11-day journey begins with a warm welcome upon arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB). Here, you’ll meet your dedicated tour leader who will accompany you throughout your adventure. Airport pick-up is available at any time of day, and we also offer transfers from hotels in Colombo or Negombo.

Negombo - Arrival & Leisure in Negombo

Your first destination is the coastal town of Negombo, just 20 minutes from the airport. Known for its golden beaches, delicious seafood, and laid-back charm, Negombo is the perfect place to begin your Sri Lankan escape.

No scheduled activities are planned for today, giving you the flexibility to arrive at your convenience. After check-in, you can unwind by the pool or on the beach at your cozy seafront hotel.

In the evening, take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline and enjoy the breathtaking sunset and the relaxed atmosphere of this vibrant beach town.

WILPATTU NATIONAL PARK GAME DRIVE

Munneshwaram Hindu temple - Make a cultural stop at the Munneshwaram Hindu Kovil, an ancient and revered temple complex that offers insight into Sri Lanka’s rich spiritual heritage.

Wilpattu National Park - As the sun begins its descent, prepare for an unforgettable 4x4 jeep safari through Wilpattu National park.

Optional: If you’re eager for more, we can arrange a second safari early the next morning when the jungle truly comes alive.

Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi - Pause at the ancient city of Anuradhapura a UNESCO World Heritage Site and pay homage at the Sri Maha Bodhi, the sacred fig tree believed to be the oldest living tree in documented history. Planted over 2,200 years ago, it is revered as the very spot where Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment.

Koneswaram Temple - Upon checking into your beachside hotel, your coastal adventure begins. Visit the Koneshwaram Kovil, a magnificent clifftop Hindu temple offering panoramic ocean views.

Fort Frederick - Continue to explore Fort Fredrick, an old Portuguese-Dutch colonial fort with fascinating stories etched in its walls, along with a few other nearby cultural highlights.

Nilaveli Beach - Throw down a towel on the powdery white sands of Nilaveli Beach, sip a chilled cocktail beneath a swaying palm, and let the sea breeze melt your stress away. With two full days to relax, this is your time to soak in the quiet bliss of a tropical escape far removed from the chaos of everyday life.

CULTURAL VILLAGE TOUR / SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS

Sigiriya - Upon arrival, immerse yourself in an authentic Sri Lankan village experience a perfect way to connect with the island’s local traditions and rural life. Begin your adventure with a breezy Tuk Tuk ride, followed by a peaceful catamaran boat ride across a serene lake. You’ll then arrive at a charming farmer’s house, where you’ll take part in a hands-on Sri Lankan curry cooking demonstration and enjoy a hearty meal made with fresh, local ingredients. Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - Later in the day, climb the majestic Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks. Built by King Kasyapa (477–495 AD), this ancient rock palace rises dramatically from the jungle and showcases remarkable engineering, colorful frescoes, and breathtaking views. Sunset is the ideal time to visit, offering stunning photo opportunities as golden light bathes the surrounding landscape.

GOLDEN CAVE TEMPLE / SPICE GARDEN / HISTORIC KANDY

TRAIN JOURNEY INTO MOUNTAINS / MINI ADAM’S PEAK

Nanu Oya - Start your day with one of the most unforgettable experiences in Sri Lanka: a scenic train journey from Nanu-Oya to Ella.
