Kandy Sightseeing & Transfer to Nuwara Eliya

Colombo - The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Colombo, Mount Lavinia, Negombo, Katunayake, or Bandaranaike International Airport between 6:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. This three-day tour starts with a journey to Kandy, with stops at key attractions along the way.

The Island Spice Grove - After a few hours of travel, visit a local garden featuring Sri Lankan herbs and spices. A spice expert will provide a detailed introduction to each plant in the garden. Then, proceed to the first major destination: the Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Upon arrival in Kandy, visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which houses Lord Buddha’s left upper canine tooth in the tooth room. Explore the tooth room and other significant sites such as Paththirippuwa, Mahawahalkada, Moats, Golden Canopy, Tooth Museum, Royal Palace, Ulpange, and the picturesque Bogambara Lake (Kandy Lake).

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Kandy (at your own expense). After lunch, depart from this UNESCO World Heritage city and head towards Nuwara Eliya.

Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - En route to the highlands, stop at a tea factory nestled in a lush green tea estate. Experience the entire process of making Ceylon tea while enjoying the aroma of fresh tea. Sample a fresh cup of tea from the many varieties available.

Nuwara Eliya - Conclude the day by reaching Nuwara Eliya, where you will stay overnight at a hotel. (Please make your own hotel reservations in Nuwara Eliya.)

Horton Plains National Park, Nuwara Eliya Sightseeing & Move to Ella

Horton Plains National Park - Start early with a light breakfast (or packed breakfast) and head to the entrance of Horton Plains National Park to begin trekking. The trek is approximately 4.5 km to the park’s main attraction, World’s End, offering a stunning view from a 4,000-foot cliff. Along the way, see Baker’s Falls and the beautiful biodiversity of the forest.

After the trek, return to Nuwara Eliya city for lunch at a local restaurant.

Gregory Lake - Post-lunch, visit the scenic Gregory Lake located in the city center. Spend some time enjoying the cool breeze from the reservoir.

Victoria Park of Nuwara Eliya - Next, explore Victoria Park, where you can admire beautiful flowers and plants. Then, wander around this hill country city, surrounded by the highest mountains, and take in its beauty.

Ella - Finally, leave Nuwara Eliya and travel to Ella. Arrive at your hotel in Ella after about two hours and check in. Relax and enjoy a restful sleep to conclude this long day. (Please make your own hotel reservations in the Ella area.)

Ella Sightseeing & Return to Colombo

Little Adam’s Peak View Point - Hike up the scenic Little Adam’s Peak for breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The hike takes about 2-3 hours along a footpath through a lush tea estate.

Nine Arches Bridge - Next, visit the Nine Arches Bridge, built by the British during their rule in Sri Lanka. It is a popular attraction among tourists due to its picturesque setting. Located in a tea estate with a scrub jungle behind, it can be reached by walking or by a “Tuk Tuk.”

Ella Rock - Ella Rock is another significant attraction in Ella, offering a more challenging hike than Little Adam’s Peak. The views from both Ella Rock and Little Adam’s Peak are similar, but for hiking enthusiasts, Ella Rock provides a unique experience.

Ravana Ella Falls - Before departing Ella, visit Ravana Falls, one of Sri Lanka’s most important waterfalls and the widest in the country.

At the end of the tour, you will be safely transported back to Colombo and dropped off at your requested location.
