Awesome food adventure - We had a fantastic experience on this tour, thanks to our guide Nim. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared his insights so generously, making the entire experience a real pleasure.
We learned so much about Sri Lankan food and, through it, gained a deeper understanding of the culture. For me, food and culture are inextricably linked, so having this connection explained in such a thoughtful and engaging way was a real highlight.
The food itself was outstanding—we sampled a wide variety of delicious dishes and left feeling very satisfied!
Ending the tour by sharing a beer with Nim and hearing more about his life and Sri Lanka made the experience even more special.
We’ll definitely be back to try the cooking class. Thank you, Nim!

Food tour with Nim - Our food tour with Nim in Sri Lanka was absolutely unforgettable! We kicked off the evening with a special dish prepared by Nim himself, it was incredibly delicious and easily the highlight of the night. Throughout the tour, we sampled a wide variety of local foods and teas, which gave us a newfound appreciation for the rich and diverse flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine.
Nim has a warm, engaging personality and made the entire experience feel personal and exciting. He is not only an amazing guide but also extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture, and culinary traditions of Sri Lanka. The conversations we had during the tour were fun, insightful, and made the night feel like we were spending time with an old friend.
Next time we are in Sri Lanka, we will definitely be signing up for his cooking tour! Overall, this was a fun, relaxed, and enriching experience that we cannot recommend highly enough. Do not miss it.

Columbo amazing food tasting tour! - Both my wife and I are huge food fans but don't know much about Sri Lankan food...our guide Nim was fantastic, we learned so much and his passion for Sri Lankan food is clear. Lovely guy and very knowledgeable. We tasted a variety of specialities (don't eat much before you go!) , and now feel in a good place to understand what to order/for the remainder of our trip. Can't recommend this enough, if you want a very personal food experience is a very hectic city, book it!

Gastronomy par excellence! - We really enjoyed the food tour with our host and guide Nim. The tour was a wonderful few hours and we got to sample and learn about the delights of Sri Lankan cuisine from a real expert. Nim is an experienced chef himself who has cooked all over the world and his insights coupled with his good humour and ability to converse well in English made this a memorable afternoon. We were lucky to have had his expertise all to ourselves. If you are a foodie - you’ll love this tour…we just wish we’d had more time to do his cooking course as well.

Master class food tour - We had a great food tour with Nim. Nothing was rushed and we got to learn a lot about Sri Lanka and its food. He had a depth of knowledge and was able to convey the passion Sri Lanka has for its food. Highly recommend this trip. I would love to do the cooking course if we come back again.

Nim led me on a wonderful food tour - Nim was a great guide. He introduced & explained a bunch of food that was new to me. Took to me to interesting places including a nice tea shop, & ate til I had to stop. Interesting chats about unrelated topics. Flexible with the tour. Great afternoon.

Great food and history tour! - We loved the tour with Nim and have felt more comfortable ordering food during the rest of our stay in Colombo. We loved hearing about the history of Sri Lanka and how this has influenced the food. The only thing I would recommend doing differently would be to include a sweet/dessert option.
We loved the tea shop especially!

A great experience - This was a fantastic experience. I have been coming to Sri-Lanka for years and never eaten Jack fruit curry, I am now addicted. There was a lot of food I had not eaten. The tea tasting was educational as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Taste of SriLanka - We had a great tour with Nim for a few hours, starting with delicious snacks and continuing with great food, tea, and drinks at the end. It was not only the food but also the conversation that made it a unique experience. Highly recommended tour.
