A Must-Do Colombo Tour Thanks to Pradeep - We were incredibly fortunate to have Pradeep as our guide for a day tour of Colombo last week, and he was absolutely outstanding. His energy, enthusiasm, and depth of knowledge transformed what could have been a simple city tour into an engaging, memorable experience. Even in just a few hours, he gave us such a rich sense of the city that we genuinely wished we could have spent the entire day with him. Pradeep speaks exceptionally clear English, which made everything easy and enjoyable for us as visitors, and his sense of humor added a fun, relaxed vibe throughout the tour. He welcomed every question we threw his way and answered them all with insight and warmth. It’s clear he is passionate about Colombo and truly loves what he does. If you’re visiting Colombo and want a guide who is knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely exceptional, do not hesitate to book with Pradeep. Highest recommendation!

Fantastic experience! - We had a great experience with Pradeep. He is very knowledgeable on the sights you visit, and is also a very competent driver. He also speaks good English. Don’t run the risk of getting a Tuk Tuk from the port as there are many scammers waiting to take advantage of tourists. A great company that offers a brilliant experience and they are safe and reliable.

Perfect Tuktuk Safari - We booked the tuk-tuk tour with several families during our stop in Colombo as part of our cruise. Each family had their own tuk-tuk, but we explored the city together. We truly saw the most beautiful sides of Colombo, got to taste local spices, and enjoyed a very delicious lunch. We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful day. Our driver took great care of our children and guided us through the colorful streets of Colombo. We can highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Wonderful holiday experience - There’s just so much to review, this was our first trip to Sri Lanka. We stayed at the Blue Water Hotel at Wadduwa. Its gardens looked out on to the immaculate gardens and pools and rough but beautiful ocean. The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming, the food was amazing with a huge variety of choice, Freshly prepared every day. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh water and towels left. It was a busy hotel with many weddings during parts of the day taking place, but not noisy enough to cause any problems. There is also a small cafe area where you can have drinks and snacks. The are sun bed attendants who will bring you towels and drinks at your request. We had a holiday rep visit us after our arrival to make sure everything was ok and thru him we booked a 3 day trip away to visit other parts of Sri Lanka, Kandy Ella Galle, it was the best thing we did, we had a private driver who was very informative about the island and gave us a wonderful insight into the origins of SL and some of it’s history, the beautiful temples, tea plantations and the people who worked there who explained the tea processing, the people selling their wares along the busy roads, it was all just fantastic. Everyone seemed busy but always welcoming and happy to chat to you. We stayed at two hotels whilst away which were very clean and also we had lunch and dinners which gained everything was clean and offering a huge variety of choice. We booked our holiday thru Mercury Holidays and they were nothing but excellent in their services provided to us. We did so much on our two weeks away and can’t wait to do it all again, hopeful next year.

Memorable 1st time in Colombo - We were greeted and taken out by the ever smiley, friendly and jovial Boby.... pick up was punctual with very clear instructions.....it was my first time in Colombo and Boby has made our tour so enjoyable that it has made me want to come back to Sri Lanka again...such friendliness and wonderful hospitality and service, and Boby seems to know so many people!!!! he was being greeted by so many other drivers when we were on our drive which shows what a lovely person he is...and what driving and TukTuk maneuvering skills he had!!!!...the local restaurant recommended by Boby also had fabulously delicious local spread... will never forget it....my niece and i definitely recommend Tuk Tuk Safari Sri Lanka....

Great way to see Colombo - I booked this tour well in advance of our cruise ship’s stop in Colombo. The night before our tour, I received detailed information about where the pick up from port would be, and when I had further questions the next morning, the response was almost immediate. I can’t imagine a more fun or exciting way to experience Colombo than on this Tuk Tuk tour. We stopped at the city’s landmarks, spent time in a Buddhist temple, sampled coffee spiced with ginger and had a tea tasting. Lunch was included. Our guide, “Bob Marley,” was very personable and his excellent driving skills down city avenues and narrow shopping streets ensured our safe return to the ship. Thank you “Bob Marley” for this excellent adventure!

Abandoned after 25 minutes and refused a refund - I booked a tour for me and my wife with tuktuksafarisrilanka.com on Sunday 1st March. We were looking forward to it as it was due to be our last day in Sri Lanka but distressingly our flights home had been cancelled in the early hours the same morning due to the Iran crisis. We went ahead with the tour anyway but it was a disaster. The guide was agitated and on the phone the entire time and left us to our own devices in Gangaramaya Temple and wandered off. He then thrust his phone into my hand when my wife was in tears and asked me to talk to his manager who wanted an extra $49 for an already extremely expensive tour. I disputed this and the manager put the phone down on me. The guide said he would get him back on the phone but when we went out to search for him realised he had abandoned us in the middle of Colombo and miles from our hotel. I have subsequently requested a refund for the abandoned tour on a number of occasions that evening and every day since. The ‘manager’ responded immediately after with “Have a great shopping tour with $10 dollars.” and subsequently “If you need your money back, be a nice person, be polite and ask me nicely. Then I will think about” To date we have had no refund despite us having no guiding and just an 11 minute unpleasant and dangerous ride on a Tuk Tuk with the driver constantly on the phone, distracted and swerving all over the place. Up to this point we’d had a wonderful time in Sri Lanka and everybody we’ve met has been friendly and welcoming so we were shocked with this experience. We’ve travelled all over the world and this is one of the most unpleasant and unethical experiences we’ve had anywhere.
