Learning new things - Really enjoyed the home cooking experience with the entire family with fantastic recipes and tastes. We were made to feel welcome by everyone. Would highly recommend this outstanding activity.

SPECIAL TOUR THANKS TO MUDITHA - From Day 1 it was like a family holiday with Muditha, we feel so blessed.....even though we had planned our tour Muditha helped us navigate every day and ensuring we were safe at every step, perfect example Minneriya to see the elephants was magical, also allowing us to share in Buddhism faith at Anuradhapura and Sigiraya Rock even with an early start was beautiful.......our drive to Knuckles Wild Glamping could be hair-raising but at no point did we feel unsafe with Muditha.....next stop highlight of our trip was Kandy.....it fell on a full moon which is special for Buddhism but even more so here.....we saw some sights and amazing hotel..which was a climb.....but this was all about Kandy Dance which Muditha arranged and gave us great seats and clear instructions when the fire walk was coming on.....after the dance he took us to The Temple With The Sacred Tooth.......Speechless on our visit, being a Full Moon and Muditha sharing his religion with us and guidance to be able to see the door open where the Relic is held will be something I hold forever.....our journey continued and every step Muditha made sure our hotels were all good to go and recommendation to eat were always 5 Stars
...if Muditha suggests something then listen to him...he saves you money and time...if there is something you don't want to do then he will suggest alternatives.....nothing is ever a problem.......another highlight was meeting his beautiful family and enjoying a meal there.......also visiting oldest daughters school with Gregg being teacher....very lucky......if you have Muditha take you on your tour around Sri Lanka you will have a friend for life.......we can't wait to come back....shout out also to Manoj who communicated quickly to any messages...until next time we will miss you Muditha & family xoxo

A cooking class in a Sri Lanka home and visit to a local fruit and vegetable market - We were picked up by Dhanuka who was a charming and friendly young man. The market was very interesting and we were able to have samples of unusual fruits . We were taken to his home and had the most informative and hands on experience making multiple beautiful curry dishes with the whole family, which we proceeded it eat !
I would recommend this to anyone as a way of seeing the real Sri Lanka culture

Authentic cooking! - A wonderful half day - market shopping and then to their home for learning, listening and cooking. So interesting and the final stage was the eating of course. The food flavours were amazing and quite beyond my expectations.!

An unforgettable experience! - It was a great program to have a local experience! When buying vegetables and fruits at the market, I was able to sample Sri Lankan fruits that I had never tasted before. After that, we made about 10 kinds of Sri Lankan dishes and tasted them. It was better than eating in a restaurant! During that time, the guide explained a lot of things to me and I felt warm hospitality. This is a program I would definitely recommend.

Very friendly, very personal, very tasty - Nice experience, very friendly and courteous care with many helpful tips on Sri Lanka, cooking and the right behavior in this country. We went to the market together, Dhamuka showed us everything and let us taste everything. Afterwards cooking together with his very nice wife, who explained us every step exactly and worked with us in the kitchen. After that, of course, we ate everything, very delicious! The whole thing felt very private and personal, which was nice.

Individual and traditional cooking with a very nice family - Dhanuka and his wife have welcomed us very friendly and welcomed us into their home.
They really showed and explained a lot to us and we were also supported by Dhanuka's mother and his sister. All were sher helpful and showed us a lot.
The food was absolutely fantastic!!! So diverse and delicious. For dessert we had totally sweet fruit. It was a great and very individual experience. We can absolutely recommend them.

Fabulous local cooking experience. A must do in Colombo. - What an amazing experience we had today with Dhanuka from Hellow Travel!
We started with a trip to the local market where I felt like I didn't know what half the vegetables were 😅. We got to try a few new fruits which were amazing and we bought some for later too.
We then went back to his house where we cooked with the food bought from the market. A 10 course meal no less!
My young kids love cooking, so they got to experiment with new vegetables, techniques and spices. We learnt all sorts of new things during the cooking process and how sustainable it is (I.e. using all parts of the coconut and banana leaves).
Dhanuka went out of his way to ensure we had the best time. I would highly recommend this to anyone! An absolutely fabulous time with a local family.
