Great way to experience the best of Banff! - We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Yug! He was able to take us to so many more locations than we would have done on our own. He thoughtfully planned all of our stops so we could have plenty of time to experience each destination. The pictures and memories we made that day with our family (adults) will last a lifetime. We would highly recommend Yug and this tour.

We were able to see so... - We were able to see so many beautiful sites that we would have not seen on our own. Our guide was flexible at locations as far as time spent. Jug was knowledgeable about the sites. Our group enjoyed the tour!

Worth it. - Worth every penny. We were able to see more sites in one day while avoiding parking hassles ( major issues at popular sites) and able to enjoy the views instead of watching the road. We made twice as many sites as you would on your own. Do it. Yug was great.

All day private tour - Yug was an excellent tour guide. He took us to all the sites and made sure we had time at each area. He was very accommodating to all our requests. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him! I would highly recommend touring with him.

Excellent private tour!! - We had a great day with Mihir as our tour guide. First off, we had very good communications with the tour operator before arriving. We were able to customize our tour to the specific sights and trails that we wanted to see. Mihir arrived precisely at our arranged pick up time right outside our front door. 5 tall adults all rode comfortably in his Honda Pilot and we appreciated the water bottles he provided. He planned our stops perfectly. It was very crowded and visitors were parking very far away from trailheads but Mihir dropped us off right at the beginning of the trail. He suggested locations for better photographs at the sights and took group pictures of my family. He even added a hidden gem stop to our tour! Mihir also helped me plan sights along the Ice Fields Parkway that we were doing in our own later that week. Mihir was friendly and knowledgeable - we are so glad we booked this tour. Highly recommend it!

FANTASTIC!! WORTH EVERY PENNY! - The scenery was fantastic, DEFINITELY even better with our private driver/guide! Not only was he knowledgeable about everything, he showed us some hidden gems. With the parking challenges, a private tour can't be beat, as he could park in reserved spots which not only allowed access to restricted sites, but also saved us a lot of walking. Comfortable vehicle, and driver spoke fluent English. He spotted a bear near the road that we would have missed. Worth every penny.

We were FOOLED/ CHEATED. Donate your $500 somewhere, but don't book these guys. - DON'T BE FOOLED these guys. For us, Kam acted as a DRIVER, not a qualified tour guide. He picked us up at 9 and besides telling his name, he was just quiet for first 15 minutes as he drove us. We asked him what do you know about the area and park. He was like "what do you want to know?". We told him that he needed to start giving us commentary about the park, flora/fauna, history etc. and he said "you have to ask questions". We were like, "a tourist asks questions after guide starts explaIning and talking". He just kept driving quietly. When he mentioned one sentence after half an hour that "this bridge is for animal crossing since we had so many accidents", he was talking as quietly as if he was talking to himself. I asked him if he could please talk a little louder since we could not hear him and he ignored it. In the front, my husband was sitting and the 3 of us were in the seat right behind them and still could not hear him. He needed to use mouthpiece in that case. Few minutes later he said one more sentence and it was just as quiet as if he was talking to himself and my husband told me what he was saying. After 40-45 minutes of quiet driving, he was pushing our limits and we told him "we wanted a guided tour. You are just driving us. We paid $500 for this tour." He said, "yea, yea. Whatever." We were like "are you going to talk?" He said, "Whatever I know, I will tell you." WHAT DO YOU MEAN? A GUIDE'S ATTITUDE SHOULD BE, "I WANT TO GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY'S WORTH." He said "I will tell you that Johnston canyon came from Glacier when we get to it." Well, we knew all bodies of water are fed from different glaciers in Canadian Rockies. He told us "if you are not satisfied, we can turn around and go back". We told him, "You turning around does not help us because we have a day dedicated to this tour and we are only here for 1 more day." He was still quiet and arrogant. He sounded like he was unwillingly sent or he was just TIRED of running his mouth like guides are supposed to. My two adult kids and us kept texting each other in the car as to how to get him to open up without being disrespectful. My husband told him that "we have rented a car and have GPS, we have paid for a guide, not a driver. We could have done a small group tour of 8 to 10 hours which would have been cheaper and lot more fun with a proper guide." We chose this company because they are people of our ethnicity and we would love to support them and see them prosper. But this guy Kamal or Kam was just sent on his day OFF or they were thinking making money is easy by just driving people around in 1.5 hour radius. They thought it was easy to FOOL some tourists by calling this a private "GUIDED AND CUSTOMIZED" tour when you don't have to act as a guide. We have been taking international vacations for so many years and have done all kinds of private, small group as well as larger group tour but never had a thick skinned/arrogant person like this. This was our FIRST WORST experience in so many years of traveling. One hour after driving, when my husband was gently trying to get him to act as a guide, he pulled up in a parking lot, turned the car around and started driving in the direction of our hotel. Before 11am, we were dropped back where we were picked up because he did not want to act as a guide, just as a driver. Since they knew we would complaint on Viator, they proactively refunded only half the money. I have to work with Viator to give me full refund. We wasted our day in Banff and I was in tears. People stay at expensive places, spend money on food, rental cars and have limited time in each city. When you don't get the tour that you are looking for when you are there once in your and just because someone either does not want to do their job or IS NOT QUALIFIED for the job, and you are a victim, that's the last thing I want to happen to someone. DONATE YOUR $500 somewhere BUT DON'T BOOK THESE GUYS, YOU WILL REGRET IT. Guides are supposed to tell you history of the region, flora/fauna, stories associated with it and crack jokes, they keep you engaged. THESE GUYS HALFWAY DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THE JOB.
