• Cómpeta - Explore history, delightful mountain villages, and local wine in a single day

Embark on a day trip that combines culture, breathtaking landscapes, and genuine Andalusian flavors.

Visit one of the most picturesque villages in the Axarquía region — Cómpeta — nestled in the hills east of Málaga. Renowned for its winemaking heritage, Moorish origins, and spectacular views, it truly is a hidden treasure.

The guide will collect participants around 9:30 a.m. for a scenic drive through the mountains.

In Cómpeta, a local guide will provide a tour and share insights into the village’s history and traditions. There will also be time to explore local products such as honey or olive oil.

After exploring the village, the tour will proceed to a small, family-run winery that has been in operation for four generations. Here, participants will learn about the wine-making process, see the tools and equipment used, and discover what makes Malaga’s sweet wines unique.

The visit concludes with a tasting of four different wines — both dry and sweet — crafted from native grapes like Moscatel de Alejandría and Romé. An interesting tidbit: one of the wines sampled was served at the royal wedding of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
