Amazing & informative - First of all our guide Livingston was amazing. Super friendly from pickup time all the way through drop off. He was very knowledgeable about Costa Rican life and the surroundings we were in. The waterfall was the first stop and it was amazing. The falls were beautiful and there was a little path to take you to the top. There are steep steps to get down to the waterfall and back up to the parking so just be aware of that. Next stop was the rainforest and lunch. This place was great. They take you around and help find all the sloths and snakes and frogs. We had up close pictures with sloths. Our driver Livingston and another gentleman were our guides and they were amazing and took all kinds of pictures for us. We are at the same place and it was so good. The fajita chicken was amazing and it was served with rice and beans, salads, and macaroni salad. Delish. They offered other choices as well. We found out it is a private property that the owner opens up to tour groups and tourists. It's a great stop. Last stop was the coffee and chocolate farm. The guide Allen was very knowledgeable about the process and trees and plants. He was very energetic. We got to grind coffee and then drink it and same with the cocoa beans. They had a gift shop there but the prices are a little steep for what they give you. All in all an amazing experience and would recommend to anyone.

Fun for all! - It was a fabulous tour. We got to see all the things that Costa Rica had to offer at our pace. We got to see the the sloths and wildlife up close and personal and we loved it! Livingston (our driver/guide) was super accommodating, friendly and very helpful. If you are ever doing this tour you should request him personally to ensure a great experience.

Sloths, views, and sweets… - The sloths were the highlight, so fascinating to see them up close in their natural habitat. The coffee and chocolate tour were equally engaging and delicious, and the waterfall was the perfect start to the day.

Every stop was a special... - Every stop was a special experience. Would have liked to have known the pickup schedule to consolidate our spot with the other group because we randomly selected Santa Cruz when Taramindo was doable for us as well and it added an hour to our long van ride. However, the ride is worth it. Our tour guide, Rudy, went above and beyond to keep our group entertained and informed. He made an already great day into an incredible one.

Fun Day! - Today was such a fun day. We started in a spectacular waterfall, then headed for a walk in the rainforest where we saw the cutest baby sloths and other animals We finished with a coffee and chocolate tour. It was fun to make and try our own coffee and hot chocolate. Great guide and driver!

Magical! - A highlight of our trip for sure! Rudy was so kind and welcoming. He taught us some Spanish and a little about Costa Rica’s history. The waterfall was stunning and the coffee/chocolate tour was really cool, but the best part was the tour through the rainforest. We saw tree frogs, red frogs, a few snakes, beautiful plants and flowers, and most importantly BABY SLOTHS. We were close enough to touch one! Of course we didn’t, but it was really magical. Our guide had eagle eyes and pointed out things we never would have seen on our own. Lunch was authentic and delicious, something for everyone. HIGHLY recommend this tour!

Bad, then good, better, then bad - We didn’t get much information when we were picked up. We were shuttled to another location where we were loaded into a very overcrowded van with very little AC. Still no information was given. An hour into this drive we stopped and picked up 2 more people for a total of 10 people in a mini van. 20 minutes later we ended up at a waterfall. This was amazing and we spent an hour there. They loaded us up and again, not much information was given. Another hour and half drive to a place that looked like a roadside stop but ended up being the best part of the tour. We were escorted around a small piece of the rain forest and saw frogs, eyelash pit vipers, toucans, sloths, frogs…. It was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and really made sure we all got pics and answered any questions. After the tour, they took us to a barn where they had prepared an awesome homemade lunch. The next stop was only 5 minutes away. Chocolate and coffee. It was great but by that time, we were too tired to enjoy it fully. The 2 1/2 hour drive back, plus another 35 minute drive to our resort left us exhausted. They call this a private tour but it definitely is not. And the 5 hours of driving was a bit much for such a run down van and with 10 people in it. I suggest you eat a big breakfast because you will not eat until after 1pm. Other than that, good trip.
