Jatoo, the eldest sister in the Kassama family, is a remarkable cook.
The day begins at 09:00 when the driver arrives to take participants to the local market. Alongside Jatoo, participants will select and purchase all the necessary ingredients for the chosen dish.
After shopping, the driver will transport everyone to Jatoo’s home, where she resides with her family. Together, participants will prepare and cook the meal in a traditional Gambian kitchen. Once the cooking is complete, everyone will gather to enjoy the delicious food.
Following the meal, the driver will return participants to their hotel.
The class typically concludes between 15:00 and 17:00, depending on the time spent at the market and the size of the cooking group.
