Our favorite part of our trip! - This was our first trip to Alaska and we had several different fishing trips planned. Our very favorite experience was our day spent fishing for sockeye with Owen. Owen was the perfect guide for us. We were bumbling novices and he worked super hard to make sure we had a great day and brought home fish. He was super kind and knowledgeable and it is obvious he loves what he does. We would love to see him again and spend another day fishing with him and his dog Buck. Thank you! Tim and Jennifer

Fun day on the Kenai with a great guide - We had a blast fishing with our guide, Owen. He was knowledgeable, really great with the kids, and knew the waters well. He worked hard to put us on fish (rainbows and dolly varden). We even hooked into a sockeye and saw countless others. This was all in some of the most scenic waters Alaska has to offer. We even saw mountain goats. This made our Alaska vacation truly memorable. We're already planning our next trip.

Trout addicts - Had an awesome afternoon on the water with JJ! Super friendly and caught lots of fish. If you are looking for an Alaskan fishing experience this is the place! We will be back again!

Make a wish trip very enjoyable! - The river fishing experience was beautiful! The peacefulness was very calming, even with 2 boats of kids! As a mom of 4, all of which went on the trip, I highly recommend these guides for family friendly and patience with kids on the boat! Our oldest son was granted a trip with excursions from Make A Wish, and he definitely wanted to go fishing. Being from Indiana, the trip to Alaska has been perfect for him and his vision of his dream trip!

What a great day on the river! - JJ was an awesome guide! He made it a great experience for all of us- even yours truly, who had little to no fishing experience and assumed she would just be “along for the ride”. I loved it, and our 13 year old grandsons said it was their favorite day of an amazing week in Alaska!

Excellent Experienced - Went on a Kenai fishing trip with Kenai River Trout Anglers. They provided all the gear for spin fishing or fly fishing. I decided to fly fish that day. I was paired up with another angler and Guide Matt. We immediately got into some fish. Lots of Sockeye, Rainbow and Dolly Varden Trout were caught. I was very impressed how the fish were handled and quickly released unharmed by Guide Matt. He cares about the fishery and told us about the different species. We were able to take lots of fotos of the fish. The Guide positioned the boat so we could both easily fish and we pulled over a few times. I would go again with them anytime. JJ is the best guide on the Kenai. - Top experience of our guys trip to Alaska was JJ’s guided trip on the upper Kenai. JJ was friendly, knowledgeable, and expert in navigating the river for the best fishing for us. I would highly recommend using JJ. We will be back and JJ will be our guide!

Owen was very kind and... - Owen was very kind and helpful to us older (early 70s) fisher people. He especially helped my wife. He had some good stories and brought his your lab with in the boat and the dog behaved just fine. The salmon were running heavy closer to Kenai and Soldotna but we caught some. It's all about timing. He offered to let us fish for rainbow trout, but we were only interested in the salmon. Fun experience.
