We provide an overview of the top activities and must-visit places in Copenhagen. - Amagertorv - Amagertorv, now part of the Strøget pedestrian zone, is often regarded as the most central square in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Second only to Gammeltorv, it is also one of the oldest, named after the Amager farmers who, during the Middle Ages, came to town to sell their produce at this location.
- Amalienborg Museum - Amalienborg Palace is essential for anyone interested in royal history and the life of Denmark’s royal family, who still reside within the palace.

Rundetarn - The Round Tower
The 17th-century tower and observatory Rundetaarn, or the round tower, is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe.
When Christian IV constructed the tower, Denmark was renowned for its astronomical achievements, largely due to the astronomer Tycho Brahe. After his death in 1601, the King sought to continue Brahe’s research, leading to the creation of the round tower.
Though scientists have long since departed, the observatory remains in use by amateur astronomers and numerous visitors. The observatory is surrounded by an outdoor platform offering a stunning view of the old part of Copenhagen.
- Christiansborg Slot - Christiansborg Palace is a palace and government building located on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It serves as the seat of the Danish Parliament, the Danish Prime Minister’s Office, and the Supreme Court of Denmark.
- Church of Our Lady - Copenhagen Cathedral - The Copenhagen Cathedral, in its current form, is a modest Neo-Classicist structure designed by architect C.F. Hansen. The foundation stone was laid by King Frederik VI in 1817, and the solemn consecration occurred on Whitsunday 1829.
However, the site of the present cathedral has hosted a church since Bishop Absalon, the founder of Copenhagen, built a small chapel on the premises. The original church was constructed at the town’s highest point around 1200.
- Tivoli Gardens - From a distance - Tivoli, also known as Tivoli Gardens, is an amusement park and pleasure garden in Copenhagen, Denmark. The park opened on 15 August 1843 and is the second-oldest operating amusement park in the world, following Dyrehavsbakken in nearby Klampenborg, also in Denmark.
