Known as “Tumbao”, “Marcha”, or “Rhythm Pattern”, this basic Conga pattern is a staple in most popular music today, and you can master it in just 15 minutes. In this two-hour interactive show, I’ll guide you through the history of Conga drums and their impact on American music (8 minutes), followed by the “15-minute Conga” lesson, and a 60 to 70-minute audience jam session to rhythms like Jazz, Rock, Latin, Soul, Funk, R&B, and Pop. Throughout the show, I’ll also perform several Conga rhythms from my recently published book to shed light on the instrument’s rich history. Participants will receive a free printed copy of the music they learned to practice at home. No prior experience is needed. Great Fun! - So much fun! Totally worth the time spent. Manny is so knowledgeable not only about the Bongos but the history around the Bongos. We learned so much and laughed so hard.
Thanks for making four non-musical friends feel like we might have a chance at playing!

Manny was great. Not only... - Manny was great. Not only did he actually teach us some basic conga beats that we could use for any music, but he shared many great stories about the history of the drum and the music, as well as his own life. We truly enjoyed it. And in case you are al wondering, no you do not need any musical background. And it was so much fun to play along with some familiar music.

Amazing Conga Experience - I always wanted to play Congas. My kids travel a lot and every where they go they do activities with locals. When they visited last month I thought of signing everyone to a Conga class as something to do together. It was a lot more than I expected . My daughters, nephew and son in law were all very pleased with the class and our instructor.
It was a history class, a music class , a tech class. We learn so much history of “el son and congas”, we learn how to play the congas, and how to read music!! All in one class. The instructor Manny, he was so knowledgeable, bilingual with perfect English and Spanish, he play the congas to perfection. We had a great time. Manny was amazing!

Great Time!!!! - I went to Play Congas in 15 minutes on 12/26/2024 with my girlfriend.We had a great experience! Manny is a great instuctor and person. We had a great time learning about the history of the congas, learning to play the congas, and Manny's personal history with the congas. We would highly recommend this experience!!! Thanks Manny!!! Experience musical Cuba -- without getting on a plane! - Manny is an amazing teacher who believes that everyone has rhythm and will help you find yours (I didn’t think I had any.)
My dear friend Kevin and I took his class last night and had so much fun learning to play the congas. It’s incredible how many different genres of music use a similar rhythm and we learned slight adaptions.
Manny is a patient teacher who wants you to love playing congas (bongos are the smaller version) as much as he does. He makes it a blast and imbues you with self-confidence. He also has a room for private parties if you want to have food and celebrate a birthday or milestone or just get a group of friends together.
Highly, highly, highly recommend this experience!

Las Conga Chiquitas Boricuas - My sister, cousin, and I took a conga lesson yesterday, and it was a blast! Our instructor was not just patient but a conga wizard. My cousin, who flew in from Pennsylvania, is now convinced we’re destined to form the next great conga band and go on tour! Seriously, we’re all ready to quit our day jobs and hit the road. If you want to laugh, learn, and maybe start your own conga band, these lessons are a must! 10/10 recommend .Best experience.

Great Fun! - We celebrated 2 family birthdays together. Everyone had a great time, including my two grandsons, aged 7 & 9. Manny's program is historical, informative and great fun!
