In Corfu with Piaggio MP3 - We had excellent trip in Corfu with Piaggio MP3! Thank you Katerina and Niko! :)
Here is a story about our trip from my husband:
Estonia. Northern Europe and a third year with yet no summer. We do have summers, but they’re rather like a little warmer extension of our already cold spring. Like every year, Jane had her birthday in the middle of July 🙂 There is no point in planning to have the celebration take place here in Estonia, because the neverending rains don't show any signs of subsiding. We decided to go to Corfu, where there is sun, sea and summer warmth. A normal person wouldn't of course go to the south in the middle of summer, as even on the islands in the Adriatic sea the air temperatures rise over 30°C 🙂 In that heat, travelling by car is out of the question, but Jane found Vespa Corfu. A big variety of different two-wheeled vehicles, and the machine that we were looking for 🙂 Piaggio MP3 trike! The same vehicle that Jane drives with in Estonia (in case of good weather). A quick email exchange with Katerina from Corfu Vespa Tours & Rentals and the Piaggio MP3 was booked! We agreed that Niko would meet us with the vehicle once we made it to the Corfu airport.
And so, with our things packed, we set off from Tallinn airport on a 14°C night towards Greece. Stopover in Zurich - the weather was almost the same as in Estonia. Cloudy, only a little warmer. At 1 pm we took off towards Corfu. The flight went well, there were clouds over the Alps, but the sky turned blue over the Adriatic Sea 🙂 A few more hours and we began landing on Corfu's unique landing strip, which starts right from the beach. The door opened and we stepped onto the hot surface of the island. It immediately became clear that long pants and a denim motorcycle jacket were too much 🙂
At the airport door, there was Niko, waiting for us with a Vespa Corfu sign - just as agreed. Greetings and we headed to the parking lot to check out the MP3. Niko gave us a detailed overview of the trike and we tried out the helmets we ordered. Jane was fine with the Nolan M helmet, but the XL was too small for me. But that was not a problem, and we took our first ride to the Vespa Corfu office, where Katerina was waiting for us. The selection was large and I quickly found a helmet of the right size. We also received information about the roads and attractions of Corfu and a map where we could see and read everything visually. After saying our thanks, we set off for our hotel, Studios Dora, located 30 km south of the capital, Kerkira. Google Maps showed the travel time to be 56 minutes. It seemed somehow suspicious, because back at home you could cover a road of this length in about 20 minutes. But trusting the map, Jane and I set off. The heat was decent and long motorcycle pants were too much for Corfu. I soon realized that Google Maps knows the local conditions better 🙂 The roads were curvy and sometimes bumpy. But it's okay, everyone drove calmly and the speed didn't go much above 50 km/h. All the small villages and settlements slowed down the speed even further. The motorcycle worked stably and just like back at home. Niko's warning that the road could be slippery was also true. The asphalt had been completely smoothed in some curves, and after the first few such curves, I was able to enter the next ones at the right speed.
And so we arrived at the Studios Dora hotel. The host Kostas gave us a hotel room and a parking space for the Piaggio right in front of the door, where the trike is shaded from the sun most of the day. Change of clothes and we were on our way to the beach already. The sea water was warmer than the air temperature in Estonia 🙂
The next day we drove around central Corfu. The vehicle worked well and we were able to visit all the planned locations. The roads were curvy, but there were no major climbs or descents here. We enjoyed the weather and driving in the warm climate.
On Friday we decided to go see the Angelokastro fortress on the west coast of the island. Maps showed that it would take about 1.2 hours to cover the 50 km journey. Ok, that's probably true, because the fortress is high in the mountains. We started the ride and at first the roads were familiar and the curves were easy to navigate. The landscape changed and we rose higher and higher. Accompanied by the song of cicadas, we reached the first serpentine. Of course, we came face to face with a car on a 180° turn 🙂 For a moment it felt like I wouldn't be able to get this motorcycle up there, but the 300 cc engine and about 30 years of riding experience saved the situation. 🙂 The next few turns went better, and after a journey with some more stops, we reached the fortress parking lot. We climbed the stairs and the view from there was breathtaking! Tiny boats and yachts on the blue-blue sea, views of the mountains and a refreshing breeze. The way back was easier and the serpentines didn't seem so difficult anymore 🙂 This was my first experience driving a motorcycle on mountainous roads. I used to think that the roads in the southern part of Estonia, between the slightly higher hills that all Estonians call "mountains", were dangerous, but now it seems that they are quite straight and can be driven at full speed 🙂
On the last day we drove to Lefkimmi to see a city that resembles Venice. A long and straight canal with cafes and restaurants along it. A beautiful place that is definitely worth visiting. On the way back to Kerkira airport, we stopped at a Corfu Airport Planespotting Spot. A little more heavy city traffic in Kerkira and we arrived at the airport. We arrived a little earlier than agreed with Niko. We called and within minutes Niko was there. The Piaggio was fine, no crashes or other problems. We were all happy 🙂 Thank you, Katerina & Niko! Great attitude and adherence to agreements!
P.S. We are back on our home shores. The weather is Estonian kind of summery - the sun is shining, rain is on its way to Tallinn, the air is 21°C and the water in the Gulf of Finland is 14°C. We can ride trikes in jackets and long motorcycle pants, and only seals swim in the sea 🙂 We need to start thinking about a new trip far south. 🙂

Exceptional Experience - Efharisto! - I had an amazing experience with Vespa Tours & Rental in Corfu. First of all, Vespa's are by far the best way to explore the island — I wouldn’t consider renting anything else. What really made this experience stand out though was the exceptional care and knowledge of the hosts.
They provided guided routes via Google Maps, which helped us discover hidden gems and enjoy the best sights stress-free. Even after I returned my Vespa, their hospitality continued — they gave me excellent local recommendations for places to eat and visit.
Both hosts truly embody the warm, welcoming Greek spirit. Efharisto (thank you) doesn’t even begin to express my gratitude. This Canadian highly recommends Corfu Vespa Tours & Rental!

If you have a Motorcycle endorsement, You NEED to do this! - While on a Mediterranean Cruise we decided it would be fun to explore Corfu by Vespa! This was an Amazing experience from booking to bringing back the scooter at the end of the day.
Katerina is wonderful, from our first communication through email, to our ride together back to the cruise terminal, she could not have been better. The booking process was the easiest thing ever, when we arrived she was waiting to help us with everything. When we didn't really have a plan for the day, she suggested several possibilities and helped us even modify one that we liked. She carefully explained how to operate the Vespa, and sent us on our way.
The ride was Awesome! The roads can be a little tricky, especially if you haven't ridden for a while, but are super fun. At times a bit twisty! Just watch out for the travel busses especially on the tight turns as they WILL take the ENTIRE road! The scenery is just Beautiful! We stopped at a small beach town and had excellent Greek food and sat on the beach and enjoyed the sunshine for a bit before starting back to town.
This will be one of the best memories that I will have forever!
Thank you Katerina for a Great Adventure!

Absolutely best ever Vespa, scooter rental service! - One of the reasons why we decided to go back to Corfu, for a visit was our previous experience at renting a Vespa scooter. It was two years ago, and the two lovely owners were wonderful and advised us where to ride, visit and what to do.
In addition, the scooters are beautifully maintained and extremely reliable. Reserving and renting it is super easy. They have produced a beautiful map with highlights of this wonderful Island.
We would highly recommend renting a Vespa scooter here!

Great Scooter Tour in Corfu - Wonderful experience!!
We rented a 300cc for half the day because of our limited time. Katerina was very thorough with all the legal documents and clearly explained the overall functions of the scooter. She suggested a touring route based on our time frame and loaded the route into my Google maps. That made a huge difference when trying to find the next point of interest since everything was preloaded into Maps. The scooter was well maintained and clean and had plenty of power for two people. At the end of the day Katerina allowed us to park at the port near our cruise ship which saved us about 25 minutes of walking time. I would highly recommend renting from Corfu Vespa Tours & Rental.

Excellent company! - Our experience with Corfu Vespa Rentals was excellent. Katerina was excellent, as well. She was detailed in explaining everything to us and made sure we had everything we needed. She suggested a route including stops at an Olive museum, a castle overlooking the sea, an observatory with the highest point on the island, a monestary, and more. We ran out of time, but we're able to hit many of the stops. It was incredible! We were an hour late getting back and needed to rush to catch our ship. Katerina had us follow her on the Vespa to the dock where we were able to catch our ship in plenty of time. It was a wonderful excursion, one which we HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great company with great service!
