• Rebel City Distillery - Founded in 2020, Rebel City is a craft distillery revitalizing Cork’s historic dockland area with a view of the River Lee. It is the first distillery in Cork city in 50 years and the only one located in the heart of the city. Situated in the repurposed Ford Car Factory, a notable Cork landmark that has been inactive for decades, the distillery uses past innovations to inspire future creations.

Founder Led Tour. Discover the home of Maharani Gin and Ireland’s sole Absinthe at Rebel City Distillery, the first distillery in Cork city in half a century. Located just a 15-minute walk from the city center, Rebel City was established in 2020 and is revitalizing Cork’s historic docklands. Housed in the old Ford Car Factory, a long-dormant Cork landmark, the distillery blends past innovations with future creations. This is a fusion of two creative cultures. Our first release, Maharani Gin, honors our founders’ heritage, hailing from Cork, Ireland, and Kerala, India, where the husband and wife team, Robert and Bhagya, originate. ‘Maharani’ means queen and pays homage to strong women everywhere, as well as to the women’s organic farming cooperative in Kerala, India, from which we source our botanicals. We also produce Ireland’s only Absinthe.
