Our guide was friendly... - Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. He explained a lot about the volcano, the basilica and the hot springs. We were lucky and had incredible views of the volcano, with an extra lookout area added in. Following it up with the hot springs was very relaxing.

Excellent tour/long day. Recommend! - Such a great day! Daniel was a fantastic tour guide- fun and silly and flexible. He clearly enjoys his job and it shows. We got a great tour of the volcano, spent time learning and visiting two churches, saw amazing vistas along the way and then we ended with a perfect 3 hours at the hot springs. It was amazing there, idyllic actually. The lunch included was delish. Overall a good deal, considering your lunch and entrance fees are paid to the hot springs. Anyhow it was a long day (12 hours) but really great. Also they gave us a tour through the streets of SJ, explaining important sites along the way, which was an unexpected surprise. It was a great day in a comfortable van with a safe driver.
