A great day, a great guy and a great boat driver - Juan was a wonderful tour guide!
The group size was fantastic, nine people.
Both Juan and the boat driver were superb at finding wildlife as we cruised the banks.
The lunch was delicious with very nicely prepared fish with local accompaniments. They were very accommodating for some strict dietary guidelines that one of our friends had. I myself have some physical limitations that they were careful and accommodating with concern about my welfare and my ability to enjoy the day.
We would certainly recommend this to anyone and would consider redoing this trip if we return.

Fantastic! - Excellent guide (went above and beyond), & drivers. We had a wonderful extremely informative excursion, saw lots of wildlife on the river - TONS of crocs, many iguanas, entertaining white face monkeys, howlers, a variety of birds! Lunch at the hacienda was excellent. We could not be happier with the tour.

Relaxing and Super Interesting - We had an amazing time on this tour. We really lucked out, and it was just the four of us and our guide Jose. First, the tour operators were very flexible. Although I expected we would need to meet at a nearby hotel to be picked up, Jose picked us up right at the beach house we were renting.
The drive from Playa Hermosa to Filadelfia flew by, and we even stopped at the side of the road to see howler monkeys. Then we stopped at the hacienda for coffee, tea, and fresh fruit, did a lovely boat tour, and returned to the hacienda for a wonderful fresh lunch. The tour was above and beyond my expectations. We saw lots of animals, learned about the area, and got to relax and not have to think about anything at all as all of the logistics were taken care of.
Jose was an amazing tour guide! He was personable, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. We asked (probably way too many) questions about trees, birds, local culture, food, etc., and he answered everything expertly and with so much love and compassion for the ecosystem and living things of Costa Rica. He was a great driver, too! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an educational and very relaxing tour.

Worth it! - Exceeded our expectations, we saw so many howler monkeys and crocodiles. Too many birds to mention, the guide was very knowledgeable and personable.

The river cruise is... - The river cruise is really worth it. Lots of wildlife spotted. Boats are safe and the whole operation is well organised. We went in early March, dry season, no bugs!

Fun ride on the river.... - Fun ride on the river. Lots of birds, crocodiles and reptiles, unfortunately no good view monkeys. They were not cooperative 🥲

Sighting of monkeys - Long travel time to get there and back. No water provided. Might be worth it to take a tour with lunch provided as that would cut time without food and water.At the park, saw multiple crocodiles and capuchin monkeys but not much else but you can’t predict nature!
