Great way to see and learn about animals - Lots of walking, very good variety of animals the guide, Roy, pointed out. Had a lot of information about the park and animals.

Guide was wonderful.... - Guide was wonderful. Don't do this tour without a guide. Loved it. He showed us so much stuff. I mean you smell a wild boar and we look in the forest and we see it.

Knowledgeable and very personable guide - If you are looking for a tour of this beautiful place, you won't find a better and more knowledgeable guide than Roy. His calm manner, deep knowledge of the flora, fauna and history of the area made for a wonderful morning. A bit of cheeky banter was the icing on the cake.... We were lucky enough to see lots of beautiful birds, including the incredible Quetzal, and Roy kindly took photos and videos on our cameras through his scope. Thank you for a magical time Roy!!!

Friendly informative guide - Our guide, Roy, was informative, and we saw lots of birds and some animals. We actually saw a Quetzel, which was magnificent. We hiked to the waterfall and back and watched the hummingbirds. I would share the Quetzel photo, but my son took that one, but enjoy the tarantula photo. She was a beaut..

Informative - Knowledgeable- patient and personable guide - was a great way to learn about the flora fauna and culture. Well worth it. Saw quite a lot, learnt a lot and it meant our first family hike was a fun one and a great start to the holiday.

Hummingbird tour - the wild life that you would be able to see is pretty limited. it's more like a humming Bird tour. The hanging bridge is for you to explore, not part of the tour. if you have to leave the park, when you get back, you have to wait on a long line to get in again,

Disappointing - This tour was mediocre at best. The guide showed little enthusiasm and little interest in engaging with us. While seeing wildlife is always a question of luck, I was hoping to hear more about the plants and ecology. We did not see many animals…largely a few birds. The guide gave us minimal other information unless asked. It was just a long slow shuffle through the woods with little talking and a few animals.

Underwhelming Guided Tour of Monteverde Cloud Forest - Of all the guided tours we took during our trip to Costa Rica, this one was unfortunately the least impressive. While the Monteverde Cloud Forest is a beautiful place, the guided tour itself fell flat. Our guide didn’t go above and beyond — he stuck to walking up and down the main path and didn’t explore much of the park beyond that. While he did point out a few animals and set up the scope, there was little context, storytelling, or interesting background shared. Compared to the other tours we experienced, it felt passive and uninspired. After the tour, we walked through the park on our own and honestly found that part more enriching and enjoyable. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but it was definitely the weakest of the four guided tours we did in Costa Rica. I’d recommend seeking out a different guide if you want something more engaging and informative, especially for the price.
