Our guide was excellent - Our guide was excellent and gave us thorough descriptions of the sloths we were looking at, their habits and the habitat in which they would be found in the wild (we had already seen a couple in trees at the side of the road). We had plenty of time to wander round and watch the sloths as they slept and scratched on their platforms. Even if we hadn't had such an excellent guide, there were information boards all around the building.

Very didactic experience - Great experience as you can see the sloths up close although there are only two-toed sloths. You can learn a lot about the life, habitat and customs of sloths, thanks to the professionalism of the guides.

Selvatura Park Silver Package - We purchased the Silver Package which included entry and tour in the sloth sanctuary and self guided hanging bridge walk. Both were excellent! It was a very rainy day which I believe resulted in less people at the park. We had the whole sloth tour to ourselves and our guide did an amazing job. 👏 The hanging bridges was quite the walk. Definitely not the easiest but manageable for a novice like myself. The restaurant connected to the park was fine. Some of the souvenirs were overpriced but that was expected. Overall a great experience with knowledge staff and safe transport to and from our hotel.

Nice opportunity to observe sloths in a natural environment. - Excellent tour given by Mauricio. He was super friendly and had a lot of patience. We got both explanations about the sloths and about some flying butterflies. Lovely!

Sloths! - Sloths! Need I say more? Also, butterflies who escaped from the butterfly garden, hanging out with sloths! Our guide David was full of interesting facts and answered all of our questions. Sloths! Lazy bears! Perezosos!

Overpriced - A guided walk through the sloth enclosure. The guide was knowledgable but there were signs around giving the same information. The experience lasted half an hour making it poor value for money, especially as sloths tend to be curled up asleep- so you are looking at balls of fluff in a tree for the majority of the time. It was good to see them and hear how they are rescued but could have been half the price

Horrifically overpriced and very rushed. - We did the sloth sanctuary and the reptile park. The tour felt very rushed, there wasn't really time to stand and look at the animals, if we'd been by ourselves we would have taken at least double the time. It was 1 hour 15 minutes in total and cost 200USD (one kid was free, so that was just 3 of us.) We had 2 kids with us, and ended up being just our family for the reptile part, but the guide didn't really make any effort to engage with our 2 young kids, so consequently they were bored. It was horrifically expensive. It would have been an ok experience for 1/4 of the price, but still disappointing. As it is, we feel completely ripped off but didn't have the courage to ask for a refund. We really wouldn't recommend these 2 experiences at Selvatura.

Sloths up close, but price disproportionate - We visited the Selvatura Sloth Habitat with 4 people and paid a total of $196.02 (about $160 without taxes). For that amount we expected more. The visit lasted less than 25 minutes. There are about 13 sloths on display, but most of them barely sleep and move. Of course it is special to see them up close, but the experience feels very short. Moreover, the guide seemed to be in a hurry because there were also visitors who had booked the butterfly garden and had to continue. As a result, there was little personal attention or deepening. In short: nice to see sloths up close, but the Price quality ratio is totally wrong. At almost $200 for 4 people it is really way too expensive for such a short visit.
