Excellent Sloth Experience at Selvatura - Fabulous experience with the sloths. We experienced the last tour of the day when the sloths were being fed and they were so ACTIVE! Wonderful guide and great experience for our entire family!

Sloth and Personal - We took the sloth tour at Selvatura. The tour lasted about an hour. The sloths (there are about 10 to 12 of them) are contained in a large cargo bay that is temperature controlled for their comfort. There are trees and bamboo structures for the sloths to climb on. While most of the sloths were asleep in lumps in the trees or the bamboo platforms, we were lucky enough to have two of the sloths awake and active. We took numerous photos. Our guide was very informative and gave us detailed information about sloth habitat, the differences between two and three toed sloths and any other odd questions we had. You cannot touch the sloths, but we were able to get very close. If sloths are your jam, I would highly recommend.

Heritage Walk is a must-do. Leaf Tour of sloths, reptiles, and butterflies is educational, enjoyable, and great for pics. - Our guide on the Heritage Walk was excellent- one of our favorites of our trip. He was knowledgeable and humorous. The tour was unique and authentic. We learned so much about the cloud forests and animals. Our guide also was great at bird sounds. The Leaf package was great. Our guide was knowledgeable of all the animals and answered questions for the whole group. We especially appreciated the information on the background for each of the rescued sloths.

If you want to see a Sloth, this is the tour! - The biggest thing on my bucket list for Costa Rica was seeing a Sloth and not far away where you can barely tell what it is, this was the place to do it! We were able to see at least 8 up close and one that was actually moving around and eating. We got lots of great pictures and for the price, it was well worth adding it to our day. Definitely recommend if you are doing other things at the park to add this to your list.

Our guide was excellent - Our guide was excellent and gave us thorough descriptions of the sloths we were looking at, their habits and the habitat in which they would be found in the wild (we had already seen a couple in trees at the side of the road). We had plenty of time to wander round and watch the sloths as they slept and scratched on their platforms. Even if we hadn't had such an excellent guide, there were information boards all around the building.

Great Sloth Tour - My family and I enjoyed the sloth habitat and tour! We got lots of great photos and videos, as the sloths were pretty active during our visit (we even got to witness a fight over territory!). I wish the guide was a little bit more engaged and went into more detail throughout the tour. I recommend keeping an alert eye on the other tours departing at the same time; we were not able to find our guide at first and missed the departure by a few minutes!

Sleepy sloths - With animals you can never predict what you’ll get. Luckily near the end of our visit Tia Maria woke up and put on a show for us. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. His English could have been a bit better. Some discussion items were unclear.

Overpriced - A guided walk through the sloth enclosure. The guide was knowledgable but there were signs around giving the same information. The experience lasted half an hour making it poor value for money, especially as sloths tend to be curled up asleep- so you are looking at balls of fluff in a tree for the majority of the time. It was good to see them and hear how they are rescued but could have been half the price

Most boring sloth tour - We participated in the sloth tour in Selvatura Park. I've rarely seen such a bad tour. The information from the guide , who was equipped as if he were participating in a survival week (the tour takes place in a building) was informative, but so boring that after a short time many listeners ran away. For this price you can really do something better.
