• Powerscourt Waterfall - The first stop of the day is the stunning Powerscourt Waterfall, located in the heart of County Wicklow. As Ireland’s tallest waterfall, it cascades an impressive 121 meters (397 feet) into a peaceful, tree-lined valley, creating a truly captivating sight. Surrounded by the magnificent woodlands of the Powerscourt Estate, this natural wonder has been enchanting visitors since the 18th century. Its magical beauty has even made it a favored filming location for movies and TV shows. Enjoy the calming sounds of the cascading water, explore the picturesque walking trails, and immerse yourself in the tranquility of this unforgettable destination.
• Glendalough Monastic Settlement - Nestled in the “valley of the two lakes,” Glendalough is a historic treasure surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Established as a monastic retreat in the sixth century by Saint Kevin, visitors can explore the remnants of the ancient city and learn about Ireland’s spiritual and historical heritage. There is also an opportunity to have lunch at a nearby restaurant.
• Barnbawn - The final stop of the Wicklow day tour is a visit to a working sheep farm. Meet a friendly local farmer who will be delighted to introduce you to rural life on the farm.

You will be introduced to their working sheepdogs; the farmer will explain the breed of dog used and demonstrate how they are trained to perform their duties.

The farmer will also discuss the different breeds of sheep in Ireland and their uses.

Finally, enjoy the main event, a sheepdog demonstration. This is a truly unique experience, offering great insight into how dogs are used to herd sheep, whether in the hills or fields, using voice and whistle commands.
