Great Tour. - Great trip with Peter Groark, a lovely guide. Loads of fascinating stories about Durham. We had a couple of extra walkers but Peter refused any extra payment which was the cherry on a very good cake. Thanks Peter

Durham tour - Great tour. Peter told some really interesting stories as we strolled through central Durham - along the river and near the cathedral and castle. Such a fascinating history of the place. Just a perfect start to our 2 day exploration of Durham. Thank you Peter

Excellent walking tour - We were able to book this en route to Durham and met up with Peter on arrival. This short and accessible walking tour was the perfect introduction to the city. Peter is hugely well informed and, unlike some other tours, does not waste our time with frivolous and silly tales. This is a great overview of the history and the character of the city but perfectly entertaining also. He is a great advocate for this wonderful city and extremely good company as a guide. Much recommended!

Best part of our visit to Durham - We had wonderful experience on our Walkabout Durham tour! We brought my 74 year old mom with us, and she was able to complete the whole walking tour. There are some gentle slopes, and steps on this tour, so be aware this is not wheelchair friendly. The pace of the tour was great, with perfectly placed information stops along the way so you don’t get tired out. Peter the tour guide was well informed and interesting, gave great recommendations for where to eat, and the tour was a highlight of our trip to Durham!

History Walks in Durham May 2025 - Had a wonderful time on this historical walk of Durham. Peter definitely knew his stuff, was very knowledgeable, friendly and the weather was spectacular. Worth doing if you only have a night to spend in Durham (Saturday at 2pm-3.30pm). Would have been even better if it included the cathedral tower!
