Wonderful experience!! - This exceeded all our expectations. Walking along the water’s edge with Connemara’s beauty surrounding us learning all about oysters and how helpful they are to the oceans delighted our whole group. Pia - our fantastic guide - answered all our questions and Molly the dog followed along nodding her agreement. Best of all, I shucked my first oyster. Thanks for a fabulous outing.

What a gem of a tour!! - We had no idea that oysters were such an important part of Ireland’s past and current farming life, but when we learned that, we thought it would be fun to try to tour one of the farms. I worried the only tours I was finding were at a bit of a distance from our hotel, so I happened to ask the owner who it turns works directly with this farm, and he called them and arranged for us to join a tour the next day. (I later noticed our guidebook had a blurb about them, but I just had missed it.) Pia was our tour guide – – with about eight other people – – and she was the most engaging and informative person to introduce us to the many facets of this fascinating business; we all loved her! And I tried oysters for the first time, and they were delicious!!

Must see in the area - Not sure what I was expecting but it was way better than I had hoped. Genuinely interesting tour by the owner who was not only passionate about what he did but also very informative and funny. I learned more about oysters and production than I thought possible and did it in an an incredibly beautiful location

Ireland road trip height light! - This was a delightful tour of the oyster farm. Fascinating to hear all about the history and developments of the business. The tour guide who owned the business was incredibly engaging, knowledgable and forward thinking. It was interesting to hear all about he had pivoted the business through tough times of Covid and recessions. Obviously if you like Oysters tasting them were amazing,..,,but even if you don’t it was still worth the tour!

Awesome tour! - Absolutely awesome tour! We did a private tour, two parents and 3 kids, ages 21, 16, and 13. Christina went out of her way to arrange a private tour a week before they opened for the season. She drove in from Dublin for us. She was great! We learned so much! The tasting was great and we realized the poor serving in the past when we had oysters is what gave us such a salty ocean taste. Can’t recommend this educational experience enough!

Delicious oysters, informative talk and beautiful scenery! - We had a very nice morning learning about the oyster farming process in a setting that was incredibly beautiful. The oysters themselves (I had 4 and could have eaten a dozen more) were the best I have ever tasted. we learned that the fact that the water is brackish made them both salty and sweet, and I loved every taste. While I would have loved to put on some big boots and get wet, I respect the expertise and process that doesn’t allow that to happen. It is a worthwhile stop over on the way to hike in the Connemara National Park.

Disappointing for the money - We were looking forward to this - especially with the number of good reviews - but it was really disappointing, especially for the money. When we were arrived we were shouted at and told to wait outside a shed. The tour leader was late and I'm afraid her inexperience shone through and it was clear that she was just standing in for someone else. It was a really rainy day, but there was no real provision for this - no inside chairs or umbrellas to go round outside. The oysters took ages to be opened. We had two each which were nice, but for 40 euros I would have expected there to be some vinaigrette or something to add if that was your preference. Or at least a napkin. I didn't learn anything that I couldn't have googled. We went on a few tours in Ireland and this was by far the most expensive and the most disappointing
