Beautiful and Educational - Well worth it. Beautiful rainforest walks and my daughter loved the moving dinosaur exhibits.
I especially liked all the unique plants!

A Must Visit If You’re Going to the Daintree! - I cannot recommend a visit to the Daintree Discovery Centre enough! We are a family that doesn’t like to to do tours or touristy things, so we had planned to skip it and just visit the Daintree on our own. It was a last second decision to pop in as we were driving by…and what a difference it made to our entire experience in the Daintree. We learned the history, so so many interesting facts, learned about plant and animal life, and so much more. Our 20 year old twins found it equally fascinating and we all agreed it was an excellent visit.

Get to know the rainforest - Incredibly informative site set in a beautiful part of the rainforest.
It features as self-paced audio tour, so you can choose how much or little you do of it. Even without the audio part, there is an abundance of information.
There is a rainforest floor walk, including information about dinosaurs and prehistory, an elevated walkway and a tower to the canopy - so this is a great chance to become familiar with all aspects of the Daintree.
I would recommend putting aside at least a couple of hours for this activity. There is a cafe and gift shop, so no need to rush off.

Daintree in the Wet - When we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely lady who explained everything we needed to know to enjoy our time. She was very knowledgeable. The pathed paths were super easy to follow and the knowledge you listen to on the audio allows you to immerse yourself into the forest. We also climbed the tower which takes you above the canopy to view everything from the bottom of the rainforest to the canopy level. Best time to visit would be spring when all the trees, palms and shrubs are flowering. Well worth the visit and the cost.

Gorgeous slice of paradise - We had a blast here. Myself, partner, my mother (with mobility issues) my 20 year old daughter with a disability and my teen kids.
It was stunningly beautiful, well laid out. The paths were easy to navigated even though it was raining heavily (that made it even more fun). It's so warm it doesn't matter if you get wet just bring a towel.
The drive up there is pretty special too!

Great variety of things to see - A great place to visit with amazing views of the canopy of Daintree. We were fortunate to get a discount having stopped in a property locally and were pleased with the variety of things to see there (from the 500 year old fig to the dinosaurs). The audio tour was enhanced when you chose the aboriginal option for explanations and the tower and walkways were easy to navigate. The displays were good and the you got to see creatures up close that you otherwise would not want to see unless the glass was there! A lovely few hours with cute cafe too.

Great day out - It’s worth the visit. But not as big as I thought it was. And we didn’t use the self guided things as we have two young kids that don’t like to stand still. We did all the walks and the tower. And had a bite to eat at the cafe. The staff was super helpful and even helped use with a map of places to visit while we were there

Pricey with some tacky dinosaurs thrown in for the kids - Ok you can walk in a rainforest in many places; both in Aus and around the world. We have experienced both so felt this visit to be a tad overpriced for what it gave.
The walks are informative by way of the headphones and well-signed prompts. The kids will love the dinosaurs....we didn't!
Vegetation and the tower were good experiences but the attempt to highlight some of the indigenous animals fell quite flat at times. Looking at other reviews I tend to agree that the animal areas were not worth the money although perhaps our visit to the Crocodile Farm tipped us this way?
Interesting but not a "must do" attraction I would say.

Educational bit a bit pricey for what it is. - Canopy walk nice and the the walking through the Cassowary circuit was pretty but no Cassowaries (nature is fickle).
Only worth it if you really spend the time and listen to the audio and spend 1 to 1.5 hours. If in a rush, not worth the price.
Good washrooms although the cafe is...interesting!

Unfortunately not worth the $100 entry cost for our family ticket - Kids liked the dinosaur trail. But unfortunately not really worth the $100 entry it cost for our family.
Kids got bored of the information hand held audio sets very quickly. We were through the walk in less than an hour.
I would’ve preferred to just take a walk through the Daintree somewhere else for free. Considering you drive that far to get there. I would recommend to just continue driving further up to cape tribulation and you’ll see a lot of rainforest and beautiful beaches along the way. Spend your money at the delicious ice cream shop or the cafe along the drive.
