Chisinau City Hall - The next stop is Chisinau, where a city tour will reveal its main attractions. The Triumphal Arch, constructed in 1841, is often referred to by tourists as the “Holy Gates of Chisinau.” A leisurely walk through the city’s park will provide insights into Stephen the Great, a revered figure from Moldova’s medieval history.
Cricova Winery - Following this, the itinerary leads to the renowned Cricova Winery, located 50-80 meters underground, forming a true subterranean city. These expansive Moldovan wine cellars, where Vladimir Putin stores his wine, require driving through. Cricova, celebrated as the jewel of Moldovan winemaking, pioneered the production of premium elite wines. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the underground city, sample exquisite Moldovan wines, and purchase some as souvenirs.
Chisinau - Old Orhei - Iasi
Old Orhei - The day begins with an early drive to the Old Orhei Museum Complex, nestled in a rocky gorge over 200 meters deep. This site is renowned for its remnants of various civilizations that settled in Moldova. It is one of only two places globally where the ruins of a city from the Golden Horde era have been preserved. The stone caverns here bear witness to the earliest human settlements in the region.
Old Orhei - The day’s highlight is Palanca Village, a location where ancient traditions have been preserved for centuries. Visitors will explore the ‘Parents House,’ a 1900s household where Mrs. Tatiana will treat them to some of the finest traditional Moldovan cuisine.
Centrul Istoric Iasi - In the evening, the journey concludes as the group arrives back in Iasi.
