Great turtle viewing! -
I started off wondering if we'd made a mistake as the bus crawled along the bumper-to-bumper jammed roads. Be prepared for a a 90 minute bus trip to the turtle watching site. (The trip home only took 20 minutes.)
When we got to the beach, our guide and his colleagues did a fabulous job scouting for turtles. We saw two very large sea green turtles coming up on the beachsnd the return to the water. We were then thrilled when the guides found a turtle preparing her nest. We got to stay and watch her lay her eggs. The guides were fabulous about letting each person on the tour take a turn getting up close for photos.
The only part I found a bit disappointing was that our guide, who was a naturalist according to the tour description, provided very little explanation about the turtles and the laying/hatching process. We noticed that the other guide in the area was offering much more information to his tour participants throughout the evening.

Awesome tour, definitely recommend! - My husband and I went on a tour last night, it was awesome. We saw 6 turtles. One lay her eggs on the beach. The guides helped her dig the hole and bury it. Christian was very respectful of the turtles, did not let anyone get too close or use flash photography. I appreciated that they didn't let the kids bother the turtles, as some parents don't teach them to be respectful. The walk to the beach was easy. The sky was full of beautiful stars. We even saw some phytoplankton glowing with the waves. If you are a nature lover, this is the tour for you ☺️

Great tour. Our guide,... - Great tour. Our guide, Christian, was very knowledgeable and informative. You do need to be ok walking on gravel and loose rock to get to the beach. Really neat experience.

The best tamarind tour - I went with my husband to see the sea turtles in tamarind and it was one of the best tours you can do in tamarind. We saw two green turtles and we saw eggs. It was a very real encounter with sea turtles.

With luck and the necessary respect, 2 turtles can watch. - Christian and the other two guides were very eager to show our group, about 30 people, turtles laying eggs. With success! We were incredibly lucky to meet 2 green turtles (Chelonia mydas agassizii). With a safe distance and the necessary respect, we were able to observe a turtle digging and laying eggs in small groups. Important! Only observe under red light and never use flash light!
Unfortunately, there are always participants who do not respect this. Of course, patience is also required. Between the first and second observations we searched 2 more sections of the beach and also waited over almost 1 hour at the beach edge for an arrival, without success. But even this time was exciting once you got used to the darkness.
You should be good on foot, steeper and stonier sections were on our tour. Mosquito repellent recommended.

Observation of turtles - You will be picked up at the entrance of your hotel and driven about 45 minutes to the turtle nesting area on the slightly rocky road. When you arrive you are given flashlights and you take a short walk, when you arrive at the place you wait a little to see where the turtle activity is and then we see the sea turtles. Turtles are big and very cute you can take photos and videos and be inches away from them
