Two relaxing hours on the water surrounded by nature - Very relaxing experience! We had two hours on the kayaks and saw howler monkeys, lemurs, a sloth, turtles, and frogs. Two of the four in our group had no experience kayaking but the tour operators gave us detailed instructions, and the water was very calm so it was easy even for older people.
The operators were friendly and warm, and there was fresh fruit and coconut water waiting for us afterwards. Although a small operation, they are well worth it. It’s great supporting a small local business like this.

Kayaking in the jungle! - A relaxing, self-guided paddle through the lush jungle where we saw howler monkeys, herons, crabs, blue morpho butterflies, an eagle, and lots of other birds.
The fruits and coconut water were a delicious & refreshing treat at the end of the tour.
Gabriel & Ericka were very friendly, helpful & generous.

Worth seeing - Very cool river ride. For this way you don’t need a guide. the rumors and the coconut at the end were very attentive :) small speak barrier but easy with google translator 🤣
Small difficulties in finding addresses - but to blame myself, I used the wrong mail when booking.
We could see some animals. eg: Turtles & howler monkeys :)
Definitely recommended.

Lovely relaxing experience! - The experience was so relaxing and beautiful. There is a lot of the water with no shade, we all got burnt, cover your skin!
After we finished they had the most beautiful array of in season fruits and fresh coconut water!
The owners are so sweet and kind.
We saw parrots and monkeys and heard howler monkeys going crazy!

A lovely treat - A wonderful experience being on the water surrounded by nature. It was so peaceful and a nice way to bring my vacation to a close. We saw all kind of animals but weeevreally there for the quiet moments in nature.
This is self guided and if you’ve never kayaked before, it is super easy as there is little current on this peaceful river. At the end of our two hours we had a lovely treat…
We also booked the tuk tuk with them and it was cheaper had we gotten one on our own, he arrived on time and was ready to go when we were done.

Intimate self-guided tour - For those who like a more intimate experience, this is the ideal tour. Kayak is done in a very quiet river, without accompanying groups, for those who do not know how to walk Kayak they do some demonstrations. At the end of the tour, Erica welcomes you with a delicious table full of typical Costa Rican fruits.

Kayaking in Puerto Viejo - The tour group was able to arrange transportation for me from my hotel to the meeting location using a Tuk Tuk. This was a self-guided tour and I went at 6 AM because of the heat. I felt safe and everything was explained to me before I embarked. I was given a lifejacket, binoculars, and protective case for my cell phone, along with a kayak, of course. I am experienced at kayaking but any beginner could take this tour and do just fine. There is only one way to go down the mangrove so I did not have any problems with directions or getting lost. I set my timer for an hour then turned around and took the same route back. The water was shallow, 3 feet at best. I was able to spot spider monkeys, sloths and many beautiful birds. The vegetation is very lush. There were little to no insects. I did not need to use repellent. When I returned, the owner’s of the tour group, a darling young couple were there to greet me. They had a variety of amazing tropical fruit set up for me on the beach along with fresh coconut water. I gave them each big hug and thanked them for a beautiful morning. I highly recommend this tour.

One of the best things in Costa Rica - It was great. We saw many animals (tucan, monkey, spider, birds) on the river and the communication between Gabriel and us went smooth. Fruit afterwards was amazing. Worth your money.
