Mezquita and cathedral make CORDOBA! - CORDOBA is also a large modern city where we enter via wide avenues, finding a parking space is a challenge! If you have to enter the old town, prefer very small cars or better still park in a parking lot, the alleys being barely wider than the car! You will take your vehicle back when you leave. The interlacing of alleys is not typical of Andalusia but in CORDOBA it is punctuated by flowered patios, sheltered from the sun under a canvas stretched on 2 cables. Before stopping at one of the countless small tapas restaurants with dishes of very uneven quality, you will enter the beautiful courtyard of the Faculty of Philosophy that encourages a break in the shade. Walk through the door of the few craft workshops that have not yet been supplanted by the made in China shops, you risk nice surprises. Then, in a few strides that will not allow you to escape the colorful fridges of the glaciers, you will face the MEZQUITA that masks the Roman bridge. The large patio planted with palm trees and some orange trees hints at a unique architectural syncretism that hugs with emotion as you enter the Mezquita that the Reconquista will make cathedral, which is anchored in the successive enlargements of the first, carried by a forest of different marble columns, whose immensity does not alter simplicity. However, the talent of the bold architects did not erase the presence of Islam, (Charles V would have said otherwise...) the abundant and pompous style of baroque chapels does not supplant the apparent simplicity of the mihrab, under renovation at that time. Just for this discovery, Cordoba is essential. Later you will cross the GUADALQUIVIR via the Roman bridge.

Great tour - Great tour in Córdoba. It takes you through the Alcazar and its gardens, then the main Jewish quarter and its synagogue, and finally the Mosque. My guide war Gloria, who helped create the appropriate atmosphere, with timely pieces of historical data and curiosities. Definitely worth the money.

Excellent Historical Overview - The tour was an excellent historical overview of Cordoba. The guide provided a clear summary of many thousand years history. Not too much detail and not too little. The tour a necessary start to learning about Cordoba.

Good tour in Cordoba - Jose is a good guide who did a good job given the crowds we had to deal with in the Alcázar, the Jewish quarter and the masque - cathedral. He is very knowledgeable in the history of the area and told relevant stories along with historical events relating to where we were on the tour.

Loved Cordoba - Very interesting and unique Cathdral We loved Cordoba and this tour introduced us to many great sites. The Jewish quarter was very crowded, keep you money and passport safe. Jose was a very articulate and knowledgeable guide who could manage a group well.

Interesting visits but organisational problems - No complaints about the visit itself. The guide was interesting and knew his subject and the skip-the-line ticket proved practical. I would just say that the pace of the visit is a bit fast which can be difficult for elderly people to follow. However, organisational problems. Indeed, Trip advisor told us to be at 10am near the distribution point of audio guides of the cathedral mosque, which we did. Finding no one I called OWAY tour when I saw that they had sent me a text around 9:30 to tell me that it was finally necessary to meet at 9:50 (10 minutes earlier) at another meeting place. Having seen this message only late, we could not arrive at this new meeting place in time and the guide had to leave without us. We therefore lost the first visit in the package (the visit to the cathedral mosque) without possibility of refund. It would be good if Trip Advisor indicated the right place to meet at the outset.
