Our “Swim With the Manatees” guided tour is our top attraction. Participants have the chance to encounter manatees up close in their natural environment during cooler days. Manatee season spans from November 15th to March 31st annually. Our exceptional local guides are highly familiar with the waters, increasing the likelihood of spotting several manatees under favorable conditions. The colder the weather, the more manatees are visible. On warmer days or weeks, some tours may not see any manatees, as they naturally migrate to the Gulf of Mexico where food is more plentiful. Participants will learn the appropriate way to interact with these magnificent creatures through passive observation and gain insights into the ecosystem of Crystal River.
