• Nature’s Adventure Center - Upon arrival and check-in at the front desk, all tour participants will engage in our manatee education program. This includes watching the USFWS Manatee Manners video, attending a snorkel briefing, and being fitted for a wetsuit. Guests are then transported to the marina to meet the crew, who will guide them onto Kings Bay for a swim with the manatees. The entire tour lasts 3 hours, encompassing preparation and time spent on the water.

Important considerations: Manatee swim tours offer a wildlife experience. During winter, large groups of manatees gather near the springs due to cold fronts, where the water is usually clearer. As temperatures rise, manatees move to different areas of the bay, affecting visibility. Kings Bay hosts a resident manatee population year-round, enabling manatee encounters beyond the peak winter season. Please note that as manatees are wild, each tour is unique and can vary daily and even from one trip to another. Tours are conducted throughout the year, all day long, but it is recommended to book a morning tour when possible due to cooler temperatures and fewer crowds on the water.

Please note that our manatees are wild and not trained to approach humans. These tours occur in their natural setting, making each tour unique. All tours are conducted on Kings Bay, which houses the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, including Three Sisters Springs and King Spring.

We take pride in being the sole Manatee Tour Company in Crystal River, Florida, offering an educational program not only for our manatees but also for our onsite Aquarium, focusing on Florida’s native and invasive species. The semi-private tour includes entry to the Aquarium.
