An amazing experience from start to finish! - Yesterday was the highlight of our Florida holiday swimming with manatees in their natural habitat at Crystal River. We booked the trip a few months ago as it had been a family dream to swim with these beautiful creatures and we wanted to bring something different to our Orlando holiday. The trip was lead by Dani ‘aka Danatee’ due to her love and extensive knowledge of manatees, their habitat and the Crystal River area. Also on the trip was captain Glenn aka ‘the alligator man’ who told us some fascinating stories of life growing up in Florida and stories of wrestling alligators. Summer is a more difficult time to see manatees as many of them travel to warmer waters but Dani didn’t give up and we managed to see and swim with these magnificent creatures as well as seeing alligators, turtles and an array of birds and fish during our trip. Whilst in the water Dani captured the experience with stunning photos and helped to guide us all to see the manatees face to face, including my 6 year old who has only just learned to swim. Dani also allowed my 9 year old to name the manatee ‘Morgan’ - he was over the moon and can’t wait to visit again. We have never been to Crystal River before but loved it from start to finish, a very different feel to the busyiness of Orlando - it had a very relaxed tropical vibe and was surrounded by beautiful nature everywhere. We couldn’t recommend this place and trip more.

Wonderful experience - Our expectations as a family were exceeded by Dani and Capt. Rodney. Nature helped as we got to see 5 manatees and swam with 3 of them despite being low season. While seeing these beautiful animals was magical, Dani, our guide, was the star that drove the experience. Dani was fantastic with our three children. I always admire when kids are not an afterthought and every effort is made that they get a full experience. Dani ensured everyone had a once in a lifetime experience but with the kids she went above and beyond. I would recommend this team to anyone. Easy to get to, clean facilities, wonderful customer service, great communication and cute gift shop.

Just do it - We decided to stop on our way home from miami. I highly recommend stopping by and doing a swim tour. Caption ross and caption John are fabulous!! We will be back this winter!!!

​My snorkel skills failed me, but the manatee tour staff was amazing! - ​I recently went on a manatee tour with my best friend, and despite an unexpected turn of events, it was a fantastic experience. While the opportunity to swim with manatees was incredible, the real highlight was the exceptionally kind and supportive staff. ​ As a first-time snorkeler, I unfortunately struggled quite a bit. I took on too much water and quickly realized that snorkeling might not be for me. I was embarrassed and a little panicked, but the crew was absolutely amazing. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, and understanding, making me feel comfortable and safe even after my near-death-by-snorkeling experience. Their professionalism and genuine concern turned what could have been a truly terrible memory into a funny story I'll tell for years. ​I may not be a snorkeler, but I would absolutely do this tour again. The scenery was beautiful, the process was easy, and the chance to see these gentle giants up close was a dream come true. A huge thank you to the staff for their consideration and for ensuring everyone, even a struggling beginner like me, has a wonderful time. I highly recommend this tour... just maybe practice your snorkeling first!

- My boyfriend took me to on this amazing adventure on my birthday to swim with the manatees. Captain Mark had a great attitude and an even better sense of humor! Our tour guide was Bri for both in-water and out of the water she gave us great information about the water and some land history. Capt. Mark and Bri worked very well together to help our entire group be able to see the manatees and swim with them. As soon as I got in the water a baby manatee came up to me and I got a bit scared but they kept me calm and I was able to swim with the mom manatee and it was so fun and actually relaxing once I got over my fear! I could tell the baby manatee was so curious. My boyfriend has swam with the manatees a few times so he went off by himself and the baby manatee just loved all over him for several minutes. Despite it being algae season, it was still a wonderful experience to swim with the manatees and in the springs! Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. Bri took great pictures and videos with her Go-Pro for keepsakes!

Swimming with the manatees semi private tour - We had an amazing time swimming with the manatees. My sister was in town from Oklahoma and this was a bucket list item for her. She was able to get up close to one for quite sometime and some amazing pictures were taken. Our guide was Dani and our captain was Mark. Excellent people! Very knowledgeable! I highly recommend Waterfront adventures and our guide and captain as well! We were also taken to 3 sisters springs that were incredible. Can't wait to go back and experience it again or something new.

Highly recommend!! - We had a wonderful experience with Dani and Rodney. We swam with 8 manatees. Highly recommend this company! They were informative, patient, and very passionate about their job. They truly love the manatees!

Mid-July Magic: Manatees, Drones, and the Best Guides Ever - Captain Mark and our guide Ross were absolutely phenomenal on our tour today. Armed with a drone, encyclopedic knowledge of the river, and what I suspect might be some secret manatee whispering skills, they knew exactly where to go to find these gentle giants. Within just 15 minutes, we were swimming alongside the biggest manatee I have ever seen, this manatee looked like it bench presses seagrass for fun. The experience was private, informative, and respectful of the manatees’ space, while still feeling incredibly up close and personal. Despite booking in mid-July (when I half-expected the manatees to be on vacation themselves), the crew went above and beyond to make sure we didn’t just see manatees, we swam with them. Twice! As a bonus surprise, Ross guided us into Three Sisters Springs, which we didn’t expect but were so grateful for. It felt like a VIP backstage pass to nature. I can’t wait to plan our next trip. This company proves it’s not about the time of year you book, it’s all about the skill, passion, and a little bit of adventure. Huge thanks again to Mark and Ross for making this experience unforgettable.

Fun with grandkids - Took my grandkids because they love manatees. Wonderful experience. Got into wetsuits and into water twice. Captain and guide were great.
