- 821 SE US Hwy 19 - Starting at American Pro Diving Center in Crystal River, snorkelers and divers check-in and try on gear. After a brief orientation, follow the guide through a neighboring small town to a beautiful wooded river just north of the shop. Loading the gear at the docks is made easy and the boat ride view is unbelievable. Traveling up the river you may see several types of fish, turtles and even the occasional otter. Learning history about the Rainbow River from your captain adds interest to the boat ride. Once in the water the boat drifts with the group so boat riders can also observe all that Rainbow River has to offer. Back on board the boat there is a short cruise back to the docks to unload the gear and swap dive stories.

After your morning encounter with manatees, unwind with an afternoon drift on Rainbow River, a place perfect for snorkeling or scuba diving. With its crystal clear springs and over 200 feet of visibility, there’s no other place in Florida quite like Rainbow River. Witness a variety of fish, turtles and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Unearth fossils emerging from the numerous springs scattered along the riverbed. At the drift’s conclusion, you’ll discover a quaint cavern, teeming with Sun fish. This snorkeling or diving experience is something the whole family can enjoy.

Good bunch of people, definitely worth recommending - We did a snorkeling trip and a scuba with these guys. Both captains, Aiden and Ryan, were great. Very informative, and didn't mind answering off topic questions. Our guide, also Ryan, took care of us on both trips. We weren't current, so he made sure we had all the help we needed and made sure we were safe and happy. The manatee trip was partially successful, we only saw one grazing, this is fully understandable considering the time of year. Aiden and Ryan decided to take us for a snorkel in another part of the bay so we could see other things and the trip was well worth it. The scuba drift down rainbow river was epic, loads of fish, bubbling springs, and crystal clear water! At all times we felt well looked after, there was no rush, and this is despite it only being thd two of us on both trips. Great company to go with, definitely worth recommending!

Great time!! - Great dive team! Very nice crew very patient with people. Made sure everyone was comfortable before we got in water. Got to see big Gar, turtles and all the different mini springs. Very cool to see!!

He guided my son through his open water certification, and my son enjoyed the experience so much that he promptly pursued his advanced open water certification. After years of attempting to introduce my son to scuba diving, Rodney's engaging and enjoyable teaching style ignited his enthusiasm to advance further. Great experience for the whole family! - The whole team at American Pro was fantastic- we got to dive with Jim at Manatee Springs and the next day we dove with Jim and Ryan captained our boat for the drift dive at Rainbow River. They were great! Our group ranged from very experienced divers to newly certified teens and it was a great experience for all of us! We also spent time in the dive shop with Orville and he was so thorough explaining the equipment and helping us make educated choices about what we need as we expand our kits. Very highly recommend the shop for both equipment and tours!

Highly recommended - This is truly a must do for a diver. We were down 55 minutes and saw so much. The caverns that dump in to the river were amazing. Don’t want to spoil the trip but the wildlife is everywhere you turn. This was a great drift dive and highly recommended. Orville and Ryan where well experience with the dive and knowledgeable about what to expect. Plus after the dive you can stay at the park till close and enjoy the beach area, bonus.

Loved the beautiful rainbow river - Did the dive down rainbow river and the trip was awesome. Jim and Aden took great care of us, and the river is a really neat experience with all the sand bubblers and bigger springs along the way. Loads of largemouth bass to watch if you enjoy seeing fish hunt, and a huge group of spotted Gar near the end of the drift.

American Pro Divers - Great day snorkeling Rainbow River with Captain Aiden and Orville our in water guide who pointed out Springs and different fish. Made all our guests comfortable and feel safe. Definitely recommend!
