• Pete’s Pier Marina - Crystal River is renowned as the manatee capital of the world, and it is the exclusive location where visitors can enjoy the extraordinary experience of swimming with these gentle giants in their natural environment on a PRIVATE VIP EXCURSION!

Upon arrival at Salty Siren Tours, the adventure commences! Guests will meet their in-water guide and photographer, who will discuss the upcoming manatee interaction and address any questions. (All necessary gear, along with hot and cold beverages and snacks, are included in the VIP excursion.)

After explaining passive observation and the proper way to interact with the cherished manatees in the water, guests will be transported to the departure location. From there, they will board a meticulously clean tour vessel for an unforgettable experience! Complimentary hot and cold beverages and snacks are provided.

Once comfortable in the water, the guide will lead guests to passively observe these magnificent mammals. Underwater photos of the trip are also taken (included in the VIP tour price) so guests can share their manatee adventure!

This in-water manatee snorkeling adventure is truly exceptional as the 6-passenger boat is exclusively reserved for you and your group, and it includes a complimentary photo package valued at $40.

Every winter, between 700 and 1,000 manatees migrate here to enjoy our three first-magnitude spring systems, each maintaining a constant temperature of 72° to 74° F (23° C). Even during the warm summer months, Crystal River hosts a local population of 70-100 manatees that stay throughout the year. Thanks to the efforts of numerous local, state, and federal organizations, our manatee population is flourishing. An in-water swim experience is considered a vital part of this educational and conservation initiative. Our team of highly trained in-water guides ensures your interaction with this beloved and threatened species is conducted with the highest level of care and respect, promoting passive observation.
