When pressed for time in the Lake District, this half-day tour works wonders by enabling you to witness a lot in little time. This tour not only encompasses visits to six diverse Lakes (alternatively referred to as Tarns, Meres, and Waters) but also includes a journey across Kirkstone pass, panoramic views at Castlerigg Stone Circle, and a stopover at the enchanting Grasmere village.
- Children must be 5 years or older and have their own seat
- Confirmation is received at the time of booking
- There are toilet stops on route
- Minimal walking is involved
- Our vehicles are not currently wheelchair accessible
- Luggage storage is available at the Windermere Information departure location. Please arrive with plenty of time before the departure to arrange luggage storage.

- Please note, there is just one collection point for this tour. Please arrive 5 minutes early to the Windermere Information Centre

Highly Recommend! - We took this awesome tour while on vacation in the Lakes Region this fall. Our tour guide, also a talented stunt driver and storyteller, was named Peter Fox. I don’t know how he navigated the narrow roads while giving a wonderfully detailed and entertaining history but he did it with ease. We loved it! The bus was very clean, the stops were just long enough and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone planning to visit! Thank you, Peter for an incredible day!

Six lakes and lots of facts - Very good trip. I particularly appreciated seeing Castlerigg stone circle - the drizzle and low cloud had kept all but the sheep away, adding to its sense of the mysterious.
Lisa our guide was knowledgeable and helpful throughout, making it an enjoyable and informative experience.

Gorgeous landscape. - THE BEAUTY OF THE LAKE DISTRICT IS MAGNIFICENT. WE TOOK A TOUR WITH MOUNTAIN GOAT, THE SIX LAKES - LOVED IT.
IT WAS PERFECT, I HAVE NO COMMENTS OTHERWISE.
OUR GUIDE WAS A CHARACTER AND WE REALLY ENJOYED HER AND THE INFORMATIVE COMMENTARY ABOUT THE HISTORY.

A great way to see the lakes.and surrounding areas. - This was our first experience with Mountain Goat tours, we tried the six lakes tour, although the weather wasn’t the best our driver John Fox (not Rabbit😂) certainly brightened our day with his detailed informative and humorous commentary which he delivered throughout the tour.
The coach was very clean and comfortable, being a cool damp day perhaps unsurprisingly the windows did initially steam up which did limit the views, but shortly after starting our tour the steaming issue subsided.
We shall definitely be trying another Mountain Goat tour the next time that we are visiting Windermere.

A great introduction to the lakes - My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It gave us a good introduction to the area as a start to our holiday. Our driver/guide/entertainer, Tim, was excellent - a fount of knowledge and bad jokes.
I recommend this to anyone wanting a quick introduction to what the Lake District has to offer.

Six Lakes Tour - Elliot was a very knowledgeable and helpful guide with a great sense of humour. He was very accommodating of all our questions including our requests for him to take pictures for us to take pictures of us.

Six Lakes ..plenty to see - Our driver for this tour was Geoff who was friendly knowledgeable and an excellent driver through the narrow lanes. He looked after us and was extra helpful by dropping someone off at a better place for them (rather than the advertised stop) on the return trip too . All in all we enjoyed our trip and I would wholeheartedly recommend them and would definitely do another tour ( there are so many to choose from!) when we return to the Lakes .
