Mountain Goat Tour from York to Whitby - I did a day trip with Mountain Goat Tours to Whitby near York with a train ride. It was a small van and the driver & guide Ben was the best1! He has a theatre background and his commentary was extremely interesting and entertaining. Very well organized company and great value for money.

Another great Mountain Goat experience. - Having spent a few days in the Lake District, we decided to have a quick look at the Yorkshire Dales. This is a beautiful area of northern England, but is quite different from the Lake District. Rolling hills, green pastures, black faced sheep and lovely villages are features of this delightful tour. Thank you to our guide and driver, Derek, and to Mountain Goat.

Must go tour for those who like national heritage, exceptional landscape and architecture. Like a fairy tale in one day - Thanks to best and knowable guide and also great driver Geoff and agency Mountain Goat I had a great time exploring and finding more about landscape and national heritage od Yorkshire Dales and testing and buying some excellent cheese. The tour was exceptional and I was glad that we visited Bolton castle with wonderful gardens. I would defenitly recommend travelers to go with them on their tours and making memories for whole life. Their guides and drivers are excellent and I hope that I will see you again on one of the tours in my favorite part of the world. You for sure have the best office in the world! Highly recommend!! - Absolute highlight of our time in the U.K. and Duncan, our guide, partly why. So full of knowledge and stories and the terrain just could not get any more beautiful. Another highlight was the stop at the Wensleydale Creamery for some cheese tasting. Any fans of Wallace and Gromit animation will understand the significance. An all day commitment—totally worth the money.

Fantastic Whole Day Experience on The Dales - I would highly recommend this tour if you are staying in Windermere / Ambleside. I had always wanted to go to the Dales and tour fulfilled all my dreams. We went to a small farmers market in Sedbergh, saw a train going over a viaduct, went to Wensleydale and tried lots of cheeses, went inside an old mill, then Bolton Castle, and finally visited the Aysgarth Falls.
Mark my driver was excellent and knew so much information on the area and made the day very informative. His colleague Tim was also very informative and an excellent photographer.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves beautiful scenery and wants to experience the countrydide

Outstandingly Fabulous Day. - Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to Driver/Guide Mark Shipley for such a fantastic day from start to fininish.
Mark explained exactly what was going to be taking place on our day out, we had a fabulous coach (Brand new), extremely comfy warm and brilliant for sight seeing.
Mark went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our day, he is a fountain of knowledge and made it so intresting we were extremely luck weather wise as well as the sun shone for 95% of the day.
I would have absolutely no problem to recommend this trip and Guide to family and friends for a truly magical day out.
We are a group if local windermere ladies.

A Great Day - We very much enjoyed our tour. The countryside was beautiful and we took some great photos. Trevor really knew his stuff and told us many interesting information. He is an excellent tour guide. The stopovers at Grassington and Hawes were memorable and we had enough time to eat and to look around without being rushed.

Beautiful day in the Yorkshire Dales - My husband and I toured the Yorkshire Dales yesterday with John and John. (We picked up the second John in Hawes to return him to York from the Lake District.). What an amazing day in the Dales! We visited castles, villages, a creamery for yummy cheese, waterfalls, and an ice cream stop. The most beautiful part was near the Buttertubs Pass. Spectacular! Both gentlemen were excellent guides and great drivers. We highly recommend Mountain Goat!

A very informative tour of Yorkshire - Our tour guide was John who was delightful. He was charming, extremely informative and we had a marvelous day in Yorkshire. We learned a lot about the history of the region which also means that we learned a lot about English history as well.
The only reason for not giving the tour five stars is that it was an 8 hour tour which became a bit overwhelming. If they could find a way to knock off a couple of hours one could still be immersed in the region.
