10/10 experience with Bernie and our guide Ramses - We hiked to the waterfall and back. I was wondering if my 7 y old could cope. Ramses our guide made it easy and exciting for her explaining the flora and fauna along the way. On the way back we also asked if he could take a shorter route and he did. Overall a really smooth experience for the family

2 great excursions - We booked 2 private trips (Rincon and La Leona) with Berni and we loved it really. Compared to the price, it was unbeatable. The advice on which excursions we should make was very good and worked out problem-free via Whats App. I always got answers quickly. When you go on excursions in Costa Rica, you should make sure that they are certified guides. Since this is a degree program there and the guides can really give you a lot of information about the flora and fauna. You can also give information about what time of year which excursion is safe. Each certified guide also has an ID. We were picked up on time by our guide Gerson in our Airbnb. The car was very clean and we immediately felt in good hands. Gerson's working with Bernie. With Gerson we really had a great guide. He knew so much, was always patient, we never had time pressure and we learned a lot about Costa Rica. We can only recommend him. Despite the fact that our trip took longer than planned (we had so many questions), he showed us many things on the way home, for example how cashews grow. On the trip to La Leona we even had two guides. Gerson and Steven, who knows the place very well. Most of the groups we saw had only one guide. We felt really safe here, as the way to get there is already more challenging. We were very happy to have such good guides with us. Steven was very friendly and helpful, so we could go easier, he carried our luggage. There were 2 great excursions and we can only recommend booking the excursions with Berni. Adventurous Hike to beautiful waterfall - We had a wonderful experience! My husband and I wanted a last adventure before heading home and this was it! Better yet, it ended up being a private tour with just the two of us and our guide. It was definitely challenging in a way that made it exciting. You do climb up and over rocks, little ladders with ropes, and pull yourself through some fairly forceful water to get to the waterfall. We also had the opportunity to jump in to the water from a decent height. Our guide Arnaldo was great, telling us about the trees and plants along the way. Berny drove us to and from the start of the hike and provided us with delicious mango and pineapple after our hike. It was great learning about their village and the area from our guides. We had a great time, highly recommend!

Highly recommend this tour company - We booked a tour in April 2025. We had a driver pick us up at the home we were renting and they drove us the 1.5 hours each way. Our guide was Douglas and he was fantastic. Our group was a variety of ages (70, 60, 33, 30). I was having some trouble on the slippery rocks and Douglas helped find a good walking stick for me. This was a Game changer. He took us on safe sections of the trail while we watched other tours taking some real unnecessary risks. We also had front life jackets and I was so grateful. There were a few spots where the water was fast and it was reassuring to have that security. We were surprised how many tours (with children!) didn’t have them. There is a fair amount of climbing and rocks but Douglas let us go about speed. The water and path along the way is stunning. It was a really fun day and well worth the price. The waterfall at the end was worth it.

One of the best experiences in Costa - We made a last-minute booking just 12 hours before the tour via Viator and were a bit concerned about whether our spot was actually secured. However, the experience exceeded our expectations. The tour guide, Hunter, and the owner, Bernie, were waiting for us at the office, which is just a few meters to the left of the small store listed as the meeting point. The tour itself was intimate, with only four of us: two adults and two kids, aged 10 and 12. Bernie clearly takes great pride in his small business. He’s very passionate about the area and could talk about it endlessly. Hunter is a fantastic guide and knows a lot about every tree or bird we encountered during the tour. The walk to the river crossings, which lead to the actual canyon, is relatively short and easy. Once there, you'll need to use ropes to pull yourself through a river narrowed by rock formations. In the dry season (April), it was manageable for all of us except for our 10-year-old son. Hunter had to help him through the last few feet before reaching the opposite side. The waterfall is spectacular, even in the dry season! The journey to it is just as enjoyable. The water wasn’t too cold for us Canadians, though it might feel chilling for those unaccustomed to being wet for long periods. We wore sneakers instead of water shoes or sandals and were completely fine. We highly recommend both the waterfall and this small tour company.

You won’t regret picking this tour, just do it. - We had a great time on our adventure to the waterfall with our guide Steven. We saw clear blue water, wild monkeys, little sleeping bats, and the waterfall. We got to swim as close to the waterfall as we wanted, even behind the waterfall if you’re a strong enough swimmer. You won’t regret picking this tour, just do it.

Excellent service, professional and friendly. - Professional agency and very very friendly. All the guides (Noel, Sony...), the drivers, Berny, the passing friends 😄 take care of you and want you to have a good time. The walk is easy and not long (for everyone); you have to cross the river sometimes. At the agency, you can leave your backpack and your stuff in a locker (you take the key on the hike), also lend you the bag so you do not wet the phone and everything... The cataract is very nice and the road too. I mean excellent half a day!

Amazing experience.... - Amazing experience. Ronnie and Bernie were awesome. Ronnie shared his vast knowledge of the area and impressed use with his climbing and diving skills at the falls. The fruit at the end was appreciated and delicious.
