From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcome, truly some of the friendliest, most genuine people we’ve met. We hiked to the stunning La Leona Waterfall and went tubing down the beautiful Colorado River, and both experiences were unforgettable. Joshua and Carlos were fantastic guides, knowledgeable, fun, patient, and always making sure we were safe and having a great time. One of the things we appreciated most was that it was just our family group, which made the whole experience feel personal and special. It never felt rushed or crowded, and they really went above and beyond to give us a memorable day. Fantastic day! - We had a full day of tubing and a beautiful immersive hike to the LaLeona waterfall! Stephen and Pablo were our guides for the day and were fabulous!! We felt safe and they were extremely knowledgeable! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a day of scenery, excitement and fun!

A MUST DO! Amazing! - AMAZING! A MUST DO! Do not book with anyone other than Colorado Adventure Tours. We did the Waterfall hike and river tubing! Our guide was Joshua and Carlos (his father). Joshua took the time to answer all our questions but also teach and show us things along the way! The waterfall hike was an amazing experience, nothing can describe it. The river rafting was so much fun! To top it off there was a lunch at the end of our tours at a local soda!

Simply the best! - This was an AMAZING tour from start to finish! Pablo was one of the most interesting, knowledgeable, and intelligent guides we’ve ever had. He took the time to explain everything along the way, sharing fascinating details and making the entire experience both educational and fun. We were so grateful to have him as our guide—his calm, friendly, and genuine personality made the day even more enjoyable and relaxing. The hike to the falls is mostly easy, but Pablo gives you options to take either an easier route or a more challenging one. Always choose the harder route! It adds an extra sense of adventure and makes the experience even more memorable. When you finally reach the falls, you are absolutely blown away—it’s truly magical, breathtaking, and well worth the hike. Afterward, you hike back out and are treated to a delicious, refreshing fruit snack at the starting point, which was the perfect way to recharge. The tubing portion was an absolute blast! The river is crystal clear and mostly calm, with just enough small drops and excitement to get your heart racing and keep things fun. This tour was hands-down a five-star experience. From the guide to the scenery to the activities, everything was incredible. Amazing guides & experience - Both the hike to the waterfall and the tubbing were amazing. This company was very experienced and professional. Our guides were fun and put our safety first. The hike in and water traversing part of the hike was a little difficult if you aren’t used to that type of hiking but they were always there to lend me a hand up. I was glad I took their advice and wore close toe runners and not thin water shoes. You can only see the waterfall if you pull yourself through the small water filled canyon section. It was so magical to get through and see the beautiful hidden falls. They then drove us to a separate location for tubbing where we hit 15 class 1-3 rapids. They added extra guides to make sure our party was safe.

Beautiful waterfall hike & exciting tubing! - We did the early morning waterfall hike leaving around 8:30 and were one of the first 5 groups to the waterfall. The hike was not too hard and went by quickly - we had four adults and four kids aged 12-13. The water was a little chillier than we expected, but very pretty and worth the hike! Freddie was a fun guide and was with us for the waterfall and the whitewater tubing afterwards. The kids said tubing was one of their favorite activities of the trip!

Best Experience - Best thing we did in Costa Rica! We had Pablo as our guide and he was awesome. We had 4 kids ages 7-11 and 4 adults. Pablo made this an amazing experience for our 7 year old daughter as well. I was hesitant how she would do especially tubing ( she won’t tube behind out boat) she did amazing. He made sure she was comfortable on the hike and helped her through the challenging parts. He also made sure she was safe while tubing. Highly recommend!!

Best tour yet in Costa Rica - We used Colorado Adventure Tours. We drove ourselves to their office and they took it from there. The hike into the waterfall is an adventure in itself as well as getting back out. The tubing is not a lazy river. It's rapids in your own little raft. The hours were fabulous. I never was concerned for our safety. They had it all under control.

Great Tubing experience - We did the river tubing tour with our kids, 9 and 12 years old, and they loved it. They have been smiling most of the tour. The tour has 2 more challenging tranks which I enjoyed most. The tour was very well organized and we felt very save. We were accompanied by 2 experienced guides who did a excellent job. Also the communications prior to the tour with the owner went smooth. We do recommend to combine the tour with a lunch at the local restaurant / Soda.

Amazing tour! - We had an amazing time on the La Leona Waterfall + tubing trip. It was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish. We went with three 10 year old boys and they all loved it. Bernie’s communication and hospitality was top notch. The booking process was easy and Bernie answered all of our questions. Our guide, Pablo, was outstanding. He made sure everyone had fun and stayed safe. I would highly recommend this tour operator. We loved everything about our trip.
