In the afternoon, the tour visits the ruins of Moray to observe the Incas’ agricultural laboratory, where they experimented with crop production across various terrace levels. The journey continues through a farming area leading to the intriguing salt mines of Maras, where the salt-making process is explained. The tour then visits the living Inca city of Ollantaytambo, concluding the first day with a train ride to Machupicchu town.
