Beware: worst tour ever - This was one of the worst tours I have ever taken. If negative stars were possible, I would give them. The tour was confirmed with a 3:20 AM pickup, but the guide did not arrive until 4:40 AM—more than an hour late. During that time we repeatedly tried contacting the tour operator, Celinda from Tours Cuatris Cusco. After nearly an hour with no response, she finally replied. She initially apologized but then quickly suggested switching our tour to Rainbow Mountain, even though we had specifically booked this tour because Pallay Punchu is less crowded and more remote. After we expressed that we wanted to keep the original itinerary, Celinda said we could still go to Pallay Punchu. However, when the guide arrived, he told us we were going to Rainbow Mountain. Other passengers in the van said we were going to Pallay Punchu. We texted Celinda again for clarification but received no response. For the next several hours we had no idea where we were actually going. The driver and guide repeatedly said Rainbow Mountain, while Celinda was completely unresponsive. Nearly three hours later, she finally texted back saying we were going to Pallay Punchu—yet the guide still said Rainbow Mountain. This lack of communication continued throughout the day. We were never told where we were going next, how long we would stay anywhere, or when we would return. We felt completely in the dark the entire time and it made the experience unnecessarily stressful. We did eventually reach Pallay Punchu, which is beautiful. The guide (Inti) gave about five minutes of explanation, and from there you simply hike up the mountain. Unfortunately, the interactions with him were uncomfortable. Earlier he implied that I was lying about the confirmed pickup time, and later on the hike down he made an unnecessary comment about our age, even though we were among the first people to reach the top. We were then taken to an unexpected stop at a recreational site where there was an additional entrance fee, which had never been mentioned in advance. The biggest issue, however, was the complete lack of communication and professionalism. We spent the entire day confused and stressed about basic logistics. When I later raised these concerns with Celinda, the response was yelling and name-calling over text, with no accountability taken for what happened. The unprofessionalism was extreme and no accountability was taken. Celinda seemed to think the only issue was the late pick-up and failed to recognize that her failure to respond to even basic questions like "Where are we going" lead to our extreme distress. I would not recommend this tour company. I travel a lot and have taken many tours with various tour operators. This was seriously one of the absolute worst tours. Beware.
