Best experience in Peru! - This was hands down the best experience we had in Cusco, and that’s all thanks to the chef Ronald. From the moment we met him, Ronald was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He first took us through the Cusco public market and then to a local outdoor market where he personally shops for fresh vegetables. He explained everything in detail and made us feel like we were experiencing the real Cusco, not just the tourist version. What truly stood out was how generous he was. Even though it wasn’t included in the tour, Yohon bought us local sweet bread and different vegetables to try, simply because he wanted us to experience authentic flavors. He didn’t expect anything in return, he just genuinely cared about giving us a great experience. During the class, he was funny, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable. He walked us step by step through preparing the meals and shared cultural insights along the way. At the end, he even gave us a full list of receipts and told us to email him anytime if we had questions about recreating the dishes at home. We would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Cusco. This was the highlight of our trip and easily the best excursion we did.

Truly A Fun and Learning Cooking Experience! - The best food and experience! His kitchen was just off the main square so it was an easy walk from our hotel. My wife and myself were the only cookers for this Sunday morning. We first decided what food and drink we were going to prepare from his suggestions. Then we got in a taxi and went to a very large open air market. We have been to markets before but never one this large with such a variety. We sampled several cheeses and purchased some. We went to see the many kinds of fruits. The fruits that we hadn't tasted before Chef Ronal purchased so that we could try them. We also purchased the vegetables that we were cooking with for the meal. Since it was Sunday the locals were selling food and drinks around the square that they had prepared. We walked back from the market so that we could see the many things prepared including guinea pig. This all added to our experience. Back in the kitchen, it was a truly a "hands on" cooking class. He showed us the techniques for proper slicing and dicing. While our food was marinating we made our Pisco Sours, national drink of Peru, to enjoy and were they good. We then put our prepared ingredients in the skillet to cook and completed our dishes. Our selections were very tasty. Chef Ronal was very knowledgeable about food, cooking and plating techniques. We were very glad we chose to take this class.

Great dinner! - Excellent experience. We had a group of 9. Chef led us to the San Pedro market where we learned about the market and tasted several items. We then walked to the fruit and vegetables market where chef carefully explained the local fruits and vegetables. Items purchased at the market were later consumed in class. The class set up was very clean and organized. Chef did a fantastic job showing us what to do and keeping the class on pace. The food and drinks were delicious! It was a lovely way to spend and afternoon/early evening.

A great afternoon cooking typical dishes with Ronal - We attended last October 2025 the Peruvian food class with Ronal. It was a really fun and interesting super experience. On our day, we shared the class with a couple of Danes. Ronal speaks English very well and native Spanish. We started the activity with a visit to the local market where we bought some ingredients and where Ronal explained curiosities about several of the products sold there. Then we went back to the place and before we started cooking we did a tasting of fruits that we had brought from the market and a very good sweet bread. And then we start with the work:) We divided different tasks and with Ronal’s help we were able to elaborate several dishes: Trout ceviche, stuffed rocotos and sautéed loin. Finally, he taught us to prepare the delicious Pisco Sour. Once everything was ready, we ate and drank our creations:-D Before we left we gave him our emails and he sent us all the recipes we had made with some tricks to make us perfect, as well as suggestions of restaurants and bars in Cuzco. The truth is that we spent a super entertaining afternoon where we learned a lot of things and had a lot of fun. I recommend it 100%

Delightful Experience - Rolan did a wonderful job with my cooking class. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour of the market was first rate and I learned so much. Our final dishes, Lomo Saltado, Causa Limena and Pisco Sour were all delicious and beautiful. Ronal shared the recipes along with many great suggestions to do in Cusco. I highly recommend this course and specifically Rolan for a delightful half day.
