Cusco walking tour - Carlos was amazing at explaining the history at every stop we made. He was very patient and took awesome pictures too! Recommend this activity!

Nilo was a fantastic tour... - Nilo was a fantastic tour guide throughout this experience. We were able to explore major neighborhoods of Cusco and get many ideas for dining, further exploration, and cultural events from Nilo.

Fully recommended - The Edward guide is very well prepared and combines both information and sympathy.
There was time for explanations, views, photos and to answer doubts.

Great way to see Cusco if you’re short on time - Alci, our tour guide was great. She was very knowledgeable about Cusco and the history of the city and gave us good recommendations.
We visited all the main sites with the exception of the 12 angle stone and the borreguits street (we saw it from afar but had no time to take pictures).
We only had 1 day in Cusco and it was great value for money.

Felt a little slimy - Not a ton of information - felt like we were being sold on his shops along the way. And at the end he demanded a certain amount for the tour per person (which we thought was pretty high - not that much less than a longer tour at Machu Picchu!). We tried to give less, still a reasonable amount, and he said, no, the price is this! He didn’t mention this price up front. Just felt… not good. I’d choose a different walking tour next time, for sure.

Underwhelmed and Disappointed - Typically I don’t write negative reviews but in this case I think it’s warranted. We bought our tickets two days in advance and received them in an email stating the tour would start at the Plaza de Armes but no other specifics on exactly WHERE to meet.
We arrived early and had no idea who the trip leader was and approached three different people who LOOKED like they could be tour guides. That was awkward with the language difference.
Finally we asked a lady carrying an umbrella that said “free walking tours” thinking she might be the person even we paid for the tour.
She said she was in fact the person we were looking for.
The tour itself was ok. We visited many parts of Cusco and San Blas.
By the way there were NO pisco sours so not sure if she forgot or maybe she was wasn’t really our tour guide.
At the end she collected more money for a “donation” and asked for a minimum of 15 soles each and then hurried off. We were so confused about the whole thing we gave her the money but it just seemed weird. As guests in Peru, we want to be sure we did the right thing but the more we talked about it, something wasn’t right.
Finally the tour did not end where it began as stated in the description.
