• Andean Photo Expeditions - 9:30 AM - The tour begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel or hostel in our private vehicle, setting off towards the Andes.

10:15 AM - Our first stop is at a hidden gem of a viewpoint offering breathtaking mountain vistas. This spot is perfect for capturing a unique photo with your subject framed against the majestic mountain range (a telephoto lens is recommended for scale compression!). If desired, we can take this photo for you. We spend about 30 minutes exploring this location before continuing our journey.

10:45 AM - We make a brief stop in Chinchero to collect some local empanadas for lunch later in the day.

11:00 AM - We visit a local artisanal textile market in Chinchero to learn about the renowned textile-making process. After the demonstration, there will be an opportunity for a fantastic portrait session with the local women, who are dressed in traditional attire and are delighted to be photographed.

12:00 PM - We arrive at the Maras salt mines. This popular site can be crowded with tourists who are often rushed through. However, our private visit allows ample time to explore and find the best compositions for your photos. We spend approximately 45 minutes here.

1:30 PM - We head to a secluded lake in the Andes, surrounded by vibrant agricultural fields and the Andes mountains as a backdrop. Here, we take a break to enjoy our empanadas and photograph the area, which is teeming with llamas, alpacas, and other animals.

3:00 PM - Our next destination is at an elevation of around 4000 meters above sea level, offering a panoramic view ideal for landscape photography. This private field, owned by a family of potato farmers, provides exclusive access to this unique location. If fortunate, we may encounter the family and friends working the land and herding sheep, offering excellent opportunities for on-location portrait documentary photography. The lighting at this time of day is perfect for capturing landscapes with highlights, shadows, and varied tones.

4:00 PM - We begin our return journey to Cusco.

5:00 PM - Arrival in Cusco, with drop-off at your hotel.
